Positive section of review
The room was very stylish and the location honestly couldn't be better in Kyoto. Less than 5 minutes away by foot from the Nishiki market (which is amazing), so you're bound to make at least a couple of trips there. The room size was much better than other hotels I've stayed at in Japan. I'll surely be booking Mitsui again if I'm back in Kyoto.

Beautiful room and hotel with great sauna/onsen facilities. Friendly and helpful staff. Love that the hotel is non smoking meaning no smells in the rooms or hallways.

This is not reflecting in the hotel itself, but I noticed all the hotels in Sapporo seem to be rather far from restaurants and subway stations.

Staff were incredibly helpful, kind and polite. The traditional Japanese room was really cool, as well as the onsen. The room was spacious.

The onsen is separated by gender, my partner and I were hoping to have one together, but I guess that just shows my naivety and ignorance about the culture. Great location, in that it's very close to the temples, but further from the restaurants. Would recommend and stay again.

The accommodation looks good, clean and new. Location perfectly half way of the cycling route. Huge shower/bathtub room.

I think it's a pity that there is no staff at the accommodation. After a day cycling it would be lovely to meet somebody welcoming you. And for this price maybe add a free tea despenser.

Room was very clean and seems new . Room was spacious and beds comfortable.location of hotel is very good .

We couldn’t control the room temperature , as it was centrally controlled. As such , we find the room stuffy , and we had to open the windows . Having the windows open becomes an issue for restful sleep because of traffic noise . The hotel is only 3 storey high and it is near to the road .

The best location. For Tokyo standards price was ok for such a small room. More or less clean. Acceptable.

Very small room but I knew that. Very hot in the room despite aircon. Not possible to open window, stuffy. Staff not very helpful. Upon arrival I was told they would keep my luggage for 2 days while I went to Kyoto but just before I left they said no leaving me to solve the problem last minute. Very poor service. Room was a bit old.

The place is a bit run down, the bathroom and showers are outside and there are only 2 showers for all the rooms. It is cheap if you travel alone but not worth the money for a family.
