We loved the Manao Hotel! The staff is super friendly, the rooms are gorgeous and the property has everything you need. A shuttle service, great help with adventure trips, a pool with bar and view directly to the vulcan and a fantastic breakfast buffet.

The resort is big and most time you would need to call a buggy to move around. Guests can enter with their own car, and this may cause some traffic noise during peak hours / seasons.

Our room had a gorgeous view of the volcano and a little patio where to sit and enjoy the landscape. The staff is extremely polite and attentive, always ready to assist the guests. In one occasion, while taking us from the lobby to the room, a staff member took us around the resort to show us a toucan and a sloth he saw earlier. There is a hot spring pool and some hot spring ponds for the guests to enjoy. We loved them, especially after a long day exploring the nature around. The restaurant has an optional vegan menu, for those interested in it.

I did not like the fact that the massages were double the price of the city massages. And two of the three thermals in the back was closed.

The living spaces were very clean. The pool water was crystal clean amazing restaurant view lots of wildlife.

Very friendly, lovely and helpful staff, super clean room and beautiful garden, we enjoyed the hot spring a lot. Very good breakfast with variety of choices , I definitely recommend it. We even got a complementary dinner a night before we leave. Food was amazing. Thank you !!

I think the only breakfast feedback is that some of the pastries didn’t stay fresh in the heat, but that is minor. Rooms could use a little updating. WiFi was a bit weak, which would be an issue if we needed to work, but we were taking a vacation from that too.

Breakfast was great! We liked that the rooms had a sense of privacy. Kids loved the pool and the cheeseburgers.

Pool is crowded in the afternoon, also should be bigger. Dont Like people drinking in the pool and bar in the pool. Only few sun umbrellas, not enough for that big hotel. Food is really expensive.

Location is the best. Nature is extraordinary. View of the Volcano is unbeatable.

Very little places to put clothes so we all had to live out of our suitcases as no dresser/drawers for folded clothes.

Beautiful property with amazing views of the volcano. Breakfast was exceptional. Wide variety of choices from omelettes to cereal to fruit and local specialties. Pool and hot springs were wonderful after a long day of exploring. Room was very nice with fridge, coffee maker, complimentary 4 water bottles and bathroom/shower supplies.

One staff member was rude and yelled at us from a distance because he thought we were throwing out garbage in the wrong place. It was embarrassing.

We had a weird party smell coming from our bathroom that made it a bit uncomfortable. The staff tried to address it with air fresheners, but it didn't fully address the problem.

Although we were not able to enjoy the view of the mountains because of the rain and crowd, the property itself was beautiful and cosy. The sound and view of the birds made it feel like you were staying in the rainforest.

Beautiful grounds. Our room had a private garden and view of the volcano with our family nearby in the room next door. Delicious breakfast buffet with fresh fruit and omelette bar. We loved the pool with a swim up bar (great swim area for my 1.5 year old son). They made fresh fruit drinks with whatever they had on hand (watermelon, passion fruit, even apple for my son). The shuttle driver took us to see a sloth on the property and let us look / take pics through his binoculars. Pura vida!
