The air conditioner didn't work in the room we were given. Had already unpacked by the time we realized the place was not cooling down. Talked to the staff and were given another room. A bit of a hassle to move to another room and start over as it took away time from exploring the area. Also, the location isn't what I was expecting. I thought there would be more to see/do nearby but that wasn't the case.

The breakfast was really good. The staff was nice and helpful.

They are super strict on checkin time. Absolutely no way before 3pm. Breakfast was buffet and pretty meh.

Nice place. Has room service. Some staff speak English, but all are willing to try to understand my bad Spanish. It is a events hotel, so be prepared for large noisy groups at all meals and through the day

The hotel is frequently used by large tour groups and the restaurant can get busy when tour groups all go to the Restaurant at the same time.

Location of the hotel was quite a way out from San Jose centre. Not many bars/restaurants within close proximity.

Room was incredible spacious and bed were massive Hotel itself was very well kept, and the offstreet parking saved a lot of stress Breakfast was magnificent. In Costa Rica for 2 weeks and this was by far the best we ate. Pool was lovely.

Rooms are very dated and utilitarian. The bar and restaurant are OK but the bedroom was spartan, broken handle on wardrobe, threadbare towels, uncomfortable chairs and sofa from the 1970's. No sense of luxury. OK for a very short stay as a simple stopover. Not very central for down town San Jose - a good 25 minute walk.

Plenty of Room in the hotel room itself which was clean and tidy

Rooms are quite dark not much lighting. Alarm was set by last guests and not turned off or checked by cleaners so went off on the middle of the night!

Great location for us as we didn’t want to be right in the centre and was easy to get to the airport. Big spacious room. Great secure parking and our car hire company picked up from this hotel. Only stayed for one night as had a early flight to catch the next morning so can’t comment on anything’s else.

The room cleaning was not satisfactory (quite dirty to be honest) and the drain in the shower was clogged. We were standing I water when we showered. The room was thin-walled and not very soundproof.

Very nice staff and great breakfast. The hotel had what we wanted for one night after touching down in San Jose from a long-haul flight. Great outdoor space for relaxing.

    room service very good

my only suggestion is to upgrade the toilet position of room 210, it is a very tight from the shower glass wall to the laboratory. I think it needs to be wider. Also, the lightning in the room is very, very poor. My othwer suggestion is to have a mini refrigerador in the room. Room service was very good!!!!!

The lighting of the room. I found the central lighting of the room could have been better. It could be that the shades of the center light might be lighter, stronger light bulb wattage or placement of the center light might solve the issue.

It was quite the value. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, and the food was good. Special shout out to Raquel as she went beyond expectations to make it a very pleasant experience. With the location of the Hotel not in the heart of the city but within walking distance, I found it very nice to be able to walk to the heart of the city but to be able to come back and have the peaceful solitude when needed.

No fridge in the room (which we were aware of as we had read that in the reviews but still it should be standard in this hotel category). This comment does not have any effect on our rating but we wanna mention it: we understand that hotels use the shoulder season for maintenance and renovation. But being woken up by construction noise at 6am on a Saturday morning is not nice. It was the room next or second next to ours but one floor above but the workers had installed a ‚waste chute‘ and were throwing stuff through it down into the truck. It did not look like the hotel was fully booked so maybe they could have done a bit better when allocating the suites and leaving those idle which were most affected by the works. I do NOT post the picture I have taken.

Junior Suite was spacious, two twin beds, air con, TV, safe, wardrobe, small desk with a chair, couch. Breakfast was good, type of a serviced buffet. Pool area was ok (I simply assume there are not enough sunbeds if the hotel is busy).

Airport shuttle quoted USD35 each way, but I was charged USD 40 when paying with credit card, without advance notice!

Nice little hotel close to Sabana Park. Location close to what I needed on this trip, but otherwise in a non descript area. Beautiful inner yard, with birds taking dips into pool. Breakfast at the poolside was wonderful.

Reception was hit and miss on friendliness - everyone we interacted with was pleasant to very kind, but our initial reception was less than warm. One restaurant recommendation that we took seemed to be a bit odd (the restaurant asked where we were staying - it seemed like it was a referral/kick-back deal) - the food was fine, but I think we would have been better seeking out something on our own.

Breakfast was wonderful (a lot of variety and the staff was very helpful). AC worked well and the room was very clean. I was able to do a late check-out ($30 extra). The pool looked lovely, however it was a bit crowded and we didn't have the opportunity to use it.

I didn’t like that my first floor window faced the pool and restaurant. It feel like anyone could look into my room unless I had the blinds closed.

I enjoyed having so many breakfast options and a restaurant in the hotel. The location was far enough away from the sounds of downtown but close enough that you could walk there. It was also nice to be so close to the grocery store.
