United KingdomStaff in restaurant on my first night 10 January were unwelcoming and I didn’t return. Despite the fact the hotel was very quiet I was given a room (134) at the furthest end from reception and on the 1st floor. I was staying on my own and aged 76 I found it very scarey in the dark.
I didn’t have a breakfast. Staff at pool bar,reception and cleaners very pleasant and helpful.

SpainNo in room Internet, food was monotonous and of average quality. The noise of the landing aircraft was unsettling. The value for money was really poor at the hotel. Advertised as 5 stars, I would give it a 3.5 stars max. Great hotel if you want to detox from the Internet, go plane spotting from your bedroom and visit the jungle from your bed (lots of Mosquitoes ;-)
The staff were amazing, attentive and helpful. The hardest working team in the hotel business.

I have stated at muthu Hotel probably 8 times and always paid room only because my husband has been I and can't eat the normal food in hotels. So every year we have had the same room with a kitchen so I can cater for his needs but this year they have locked the kitchen door and have started charging €5 a day for use of kitchen .I don't agree with that when you have booked self catering .and paid enough just for a room it's not good

PolandAt the beginning when we arrive to the hotel and get the room we notice that the beds weren't ready. We saw how dirty is the mattress. I ask the employees to change the beds but the said they don't have any to change. Room was not comfortable. I was sleeping on the bed where kids should sleep because it was not acceptable for kids. When I was leaving I ask for an invoice but I did not receive it without an reason. They assured me it will be send by email but after 2 months I still did not get it. Lock in balcony doors was damage and I couldn't lock it. There was a stench from the air conditioning was we decided not to use it. I do not recommend this hotel. 5* ???? this is a bad joke !!! I regret that I didn't take photos of this.
Staff in the restaurant where they serving breakfast was very polite and friendly.

United KingdomI'm not sure how this hotel has such high reviews based on the room i stayed in. It was a last minute booking due to a cancellation with my accommodation. The room was straight out of the 1970s, with old chipped furniture, a peeling ceiling and a random Wotsit crisp left under a chair. You had to pay to use their self-catering facilities, which were closed when I arrived (about 5pm?!) so there were no self-catering things in the room at all. There was also a chunk taken out of the bottom of the door so I didn't feel particularly safe. The screaming and shouting went on in adjacent rooms for what felt like hours, I had to call around 11pm to see if they could do anything as even the tv wasn't drowning it out. There was also a mop and bucket left in the corner of the room.

IcelandThinking of a relaxing holiday at Grand Muthu Golf Plaza? You might want to reconsider. The hotel has a widespread mold issue, not just in one room, but likely in all due to a critical design flaw: a wooden base too close to the bath, inviting mold into every space. There are cracks everywhere in the walls, inviting water and mold inside. I learned this the hard way, getting sick for four days straight because of the mold. When I brought it up, the hotel's reaction was underwhelming. They stick to policies that clearly don't prioritize guest health or comfort. It's clear the management prefers to sweep such serious issues under the rug rather than address them head-on. The manager offered me an update to all inclusive on my next stay. Which is basically like making fun of the situation since they know I would never come back. This isn't just about a ruined holiday; it's a health risk that the hotel is ignoring. I felt obligated to report this to local health authorities to prevent others from suffering the same fate. While the front desk staff were polite and professional, their hands are tied by management's decisions. This company is a so called "milk cow", were they don't reinvest their money into the hotel, rather send the profit somewhere else, at the customers and staffs expense. Please, think twice before booking here. There are plenty of places where your well-being is actually a priority. Don't let the Grand Muthu Golf Plaza's negligence turn your holiday into a health nightmare.

Everything was amazing. We are an elderly couple, with low mobility so we were unable to visit other parts of this beautiful island of Tenerife. We therefore spent a lot of our two week vacation, in our junior suite, which had a lovely balcony with a sae view and walking within the grounds of the hotel by their beautifully landscaped pool. Their are some well-stocked shops nearby for food and drinks, within easy reach for those with walking difficulties. There are also several lifts to all floors. The meals served in the dining room are excellent.
