Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandThe only thing I would call out this time is that the Coral Reef restaurant was closed, The Tapas restaurant was open but we did not eat there as it was very quiet each evening. Appreciate the buffet restaurant was available and also that it was end of season so all understandable, not an issue for us as we did travel to town for food each night as don't have young kids but could be an issue for families with small children
We love this hotel and have travelled here for many years. The only thing I would call out this time is that the Coral Reef restaurant was closed, The Tapas restaurant was open but we did not eat there as it was very quiet each evening. Appreciate the buffet restaurant was available and also that it was end of season so all understandable, not an issue for us as we did travel to town for food each night as don't have young kids but could be an issue for families with small children. Overall though this is a fabulous resort and we always enjoy our visit - is within walking distance to Park and we had access included with hotel stay and could come and go as much as we wanted which was great with teenagers. When we checked out on 11/9 the pools were closed and hotel seemed to be closing up but again understandable mid September. We will definitely return.

United KingdomThe queues were really long to get lunch and there wasn’t much choice of food. It was really hard to buy a drink in the bar too.
The swimming pools were lovely and felt really safe for my children.

IrelandRoom: a little small for 3 adults, pull-out bed was not very comfortable. The room was not properly cleaned when we arrived, sticky toy stuck to the ceiling which was not removed at any point during our stay. We could also hear the residents in the next room, especially in the bathroom where I could actually hear what they were saying. Check in: we were not informed about the loyalty bonus/points when checking in, only found out on our last day through another guest.
Pool: very nice, clean and well serviced. Lifeguards on duty were excellent Food: good options and variety for vegetarians, very good quality. Well managed, never rushed during breakfast or dinner. Staff: excellent, very helpful. The restaurant staff were especially helpful and nice to deal with

DenmarkA bit hectic and chaotic eating at Restaurant Bohio.
Great resort 10 min walk from PortAventura. Even though we were there in the high season there are plenty of space in the pools, sand beach and surrounding areas. When you are traveling with kids places like this just works 😊. We stayed in the standard rooms with full board. We only tried restaurant Bohio buffet – not gourmet food but you will find something for everyone. Variety of food is huge. Considering the price includes entrance to Ferrari Land and Portaventura Word makes it a really good deal.

United KingdomThis is not related to the hotel, but I did not like that you have to wait in Portaventura for the rides, some of them almost 1 hour, so we did not do a lot of rides.
The room had a perfect size for a family of 4 people. It was clean, modern, beautiful. I loved the swimming pools, especially the one with sand, the gardens are beautifully and peacefull. You really could think that you're in the Caribbean. Portaventura was just to 5-10 minutes walk. We parked the car and did not move for the stay. It's quite in the night. The breakfast and dinner buffet are great, there is something for everyone ( from children to parents). You need to book your slot.

EgyptPaying money for every carry on or checked bags to put in the locker till the room is ready, otherwise I should loose my time waiting in the lobby with my luggage till the room is ready instead to enjoy the parks I paid for . The food especially dinner was ver poor and no variety or quality also very crowded.

IrelandThe room was disappointing: AC doesn't work properly, it's merely a fan; lack of lamps in the room: there were only 3 tabletop lamps for the entire room, no overhead lights at all. Moreover, there are too few sockets in the room, and quite so often if you want to charge some of your devices you need to unplug one or more of the lamps and sit in the darkness. So, bringing the extension lead with you might be a good idea. The extra bed in the room is unusable and is more of a torture device rather than a bed. We ended up sleeping three of us on the double bed and not using the extra bed at all.
Hotel territory is very nice, with two different pools: a classic one and one with the sand bottom and a beach. Breakfast is good, good variety, but needs to be prebooked and limited to 40 minutes (which is usually enough to be fair). The location of the hotel is okay: 15 minutes by foot to the park, 20 minutes to the beach.

MaltaSome of the staff did not speak English, however, whenever this happened, the members of staff were nice enough to guide us to another coworker who was able to help and communicate with us. This happened when we went to the hotel's buffet. I also would have liked a little more information on how the accumulated points and the card worked during our check in.
The room was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, the food in the buffet was delicious and the staff was friendly.

RussiaEvery once in a while during the night we had a strange pumping noise coming from the AC.
The territory is clean and very pretty. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained. I particularly commend the staff for being friendly and professional - they have managed to help me with every request. The breakfast is delicious and varied - the choice of dishes is excellent. The hotel also features a nice pool (not too deep) and is located some 7-10 minutes away from the parks.

IrelandThere are not enough staff in the hotel to deal with the amount of people that are staying. The few dining staff and bar staff were run off their feet trying to look after everyone. The main buffet restaurant, people were queueing for up to an hour and more, there were plenty of tables but they didnt have the staff to clear them. The bar staff in the evening(only 2 of them) had to take outside table orders, queues for drinks inside the bar and serve coffees. the queues were another mile long. We went to the other restaurant that was open while we were there, there was a lovely man serving us but the meat was like leather and the lady supervising was not a welcoming host. we did not eat our evening meal in hotel caribe again and chose instead to go into salou via taxi where there is a huge variety of placed to eat at a lot more reasonable price.
the pools in the hotel are like a beach with a beach cafe in the middle. we were lucky enough to stay in club san juan, so didnt have to deal with the huge rush for breakfast like in the main hotel.

SpainQueues were just enormous everywhere. But we were visiting on a school holiday so it was expected. And even if I could understand a queue in the park, it was not the best experience to queue for breakfast for more than 30 minutes just to access the restaurant. The breakfast itself wasn't good either but you can hardly find anything better in the park so better take it.
Great value for money as it basically costs nothing since you get free park access within the hotel rate. You can get park access early in the morning at your check-in and enjoy it till the end of the next day. Super helpful. Good Wifi coverage as well.

United Kingdom1. Terrible cleanliness. I entered my room - mentioned to the reception that there are A LOT of hair in the bath. Promised to check. No check until the next day. Next day - situation improved but HALF of the hair are still there. Yes, it was that bad. 2. I didn't understand the system - the hotel advertised lots of restaurants available on the site but we were "allowed" to eat only at one. When asked reception i was told that the other are "for different people". Gmh... 3. I didn't understand if there was a kids club at all available? No info on the reception, would be beneficial to have a printout or something in the room. The building with "kids club" written on it was completely closed down. On the check out i discovered that apparently they run "mini disco". I wish it would be slightly more obvious. 4. Maintenance of the hotel: broken both lifts, toilets etc.
After the stay in a previous overcrowded hotel this was like a paradise! Relaxed atmosphere with nice gardens and swimming areas. Top quality for the food. Excellent offer with park tickets. I really enjoyed our stay. I wish it would be slightly less expensive overall though. Free parking on the site was very much appreciated. I appreciate hotel actually phoned my after my return home when I enquired about lost possessions.
