The rooms were large and bright with a lovely outdoor pool nearby to have a splash around in. We were impressed by the breakfast which was absolutely delicious and the hotel was very dog friendly.

The soap was not replaced at all the first day. They even took the one we were using without putting a new one. The next day the toothbrush was missing, the replaceable one from electric toothbrush. The staff could have been a bit more polite as well.Breakfast was basic.

The breakfast was expensive for a grab and go - it was more of a sit down full meal. We felt a little isolated one evening when the restaurant was fully booked but it turned into an adventure. May be some more amenities, croissant and coffee style breakfast for example, also, my daughter thought a small gym would be appropriate?

The food was great and the spa a real bonus. Staff were honestly charming.

There are not so many choices in breakfast.

Very beautiful hotel, located on the Fouvriere Mountain, parking is quite easy. Not so far away from the Notre Dame de Fourviere. The roof of room is quite high.

I would have liked to have styayed there without charge!! However, even though not inexpensive, I think that the hotel offers very good value for money.

We found the hotel through Booking.com because we had to change ourvtravel arrangements at very short notice because of French rail strikes. I have no hestitation in saying that the Fourviere is absolutely exceptional in every way.

- Really poor location in terms of travelling across the City. It’s a steep walk uphill from the City Centre and no direct public transport. Wish we had known beforehand, but thank goodness for Bolt taxis however, even the taxi drivers could hardly find the place. Just consider this if you have any mobility issues, anyone travelling who isn’t able to walk far. - Eggs on request at breakfast seemed to be troublesome if asked for without dairy. - It’s very awkward having to walk through the restaurant with other guests when in your robe, en route to the Spa. major flaw in the design but if you’re both bothered with this, it’s not an issue. - No tea / coffee making facilities in the room. love a cup of tea before bed…. it not possible here. - disappointing with all the huge space in the hotel that’s there isn’t a gym / weights room for guests.

The rooms were clean, quite large and modern, the lack of a kettle was the only negative. The bar downstairs had a good vibes and hospitable waiters. The hotel itself is on a very, VERY steep hill and is a little bit away from central Lyon. Make sure you know about the funicular/train from Vieux Lyon which takes you very close to the hotel (we didn’t, got very sweaty). I would definitely stay here again.

It was a bit away of the center, but then is the advantage that you have a quiet location.

The building, the hotel was very special, the room was clean and comfy, the parking space was very good, just like we needed.
