Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdom1.The toilet & sink were too close & was not very comfortable to sit but was manageable. 2. All the TV channels were in french & not even one in English. 3. The breakfast staff spoke no English so it was sometimes difficult to explain what you wanted. 4. Kettle , tea & coffee making facilities are not provided in the rooms so bring your own kettle & tea bags. Luckily they had a spare kettle which they kindly let me borrow it & also gave me cups, sugar & spoons with it. I just had to buy the milk & tea bags from a nearby mini supermarket.
1. Good Breakfast 2. Excellent Staff & are always trying their best to help you in every way they can. 3. Good location, Metro within 5 min walking distance. 4. Plenty of good Food places nearby including Halal food. 5. Very clean & had a spare shared toilet on each floor which was very handy. 6. The reception staff spoke fluent English. 7. Beds were comfortable to sleep on. 8. Reception is managed 24hrs.

GreeceThe hotel was exactly what we wanted. A simple, no-fancy and a value-for-money accommodation for a 4-day trip in Paris. Location had easy access to train/metro. Fresh croissants for breakfast a plus!

SingaporeThere is no aircon in summer. The fan they provided was very small and ineffective. We had a room facing the street and it was very very noisy. Without aircon, you would need to leave the windows open but the noisy street blaring sirens that frequently go by will keep you awake the whole night.
The hotel has a good location with many eateries around as well as convenient stores to stock up water and some groceries. The front desk service was excellent. We had a Sri Lankan gentlemen taking care of us and he was great. I think his name started with letter 'D'. They also have a lounge where you can enjoy breakfast (chargeable) or hang-out after breakfast. This is useful if you have a late flight out. The crowd around the hotel is interesting and diversified but some people might be intimidated.

SingaporeThe neighborhood was noisy and crowded. Breakfast can be better with little more varieties and may consider higher price for the same (currently charging only Euro 8 and understandable you can’t expect much). Wish there was Aircon but I suppose not many hotels in this price range have Aircon in Paris. We visited in the middle of hot summer in June and it was little uncomfortable.
Friendly staff especially lady at the reception. She was very helpful. Near to the metro which brings you to major attractions in few stops. Room was clean.

United StatesYou get what you pay for, we just needed a clean and comfortable place to sleep, don't expect anymore. We were in Paris during the Summer Solstice so there were an informal loud street party late into the night on the street outside the hotel. It was hot so we had to have the windows open, no AC just a fan. This was not the Hotel's fault, just that it happens to be in an area where a large group of local ethnic folks gather to socialize.
The room was basic clean and comfortable. It is very close to the Gare de Est rail station and within walking distance to the Gare du Nord station which fit our travel plans perfectly. Plenty of cafes, restaurants and fast food places of all ethnic persuasions in the area. Metro stop right outside the hotel is a gateway to all of Paris.

United KingdomRooms were small, and you could hear all neighbouring rooms - we were kept awake by a loud couple, and woken up by someones alarm at 5am. When leaving the cleaning service had left bags of washing all across the stairs - making it quite a difficult and dangerous to leave. Didn't feel overly clean - strange cheesy smell in the bathroom.
Good Location, walking distance to the station with plenty of shops and restaurants near by. Good price for a budget stay in Paris. We only stayed one night, so it was adequate for what we needed.
