“The building is very old and full of character. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely and upgraded us to a bigger room on arrival. The steak restaurant downstairs was great and breakfast was good too. The lack of car park wasn’t a problem - we parked briefly opposite, dashed in, were given a 24 hour permit and drove a hundred yards round the corner. The Chapter House is so central - just opposite a little walkway straight to the cathedral. A truly excellent stay and we hope to come back.”
