distance from Cardiff to the hotel wasnt 12 miles as written on the web site, its actually 55 miles. Breakfast wasnt great

comfy bed, excellent views of the sea and local area. Overall if we travel to Weston-Super-Mare again we will deffo be re-booking.

The weather was incredibly hot when we visited ~30 degrees. We requested a fan for the room and the hotel was unable to provide one as all had been taken. A little disappointing, but perhaps fair enough as I'm sure everyone had requested them all already in such unique weather. The huge windows that offered the great views only opened a tiny amount, so the room was unbearably hot and west facing so getting all the evening sun. Further to this, due to the heat we went down to the reception where there were 2 night porters working. It must have been around 11pm to midnight, and we requested to buy a bottle of cold water (which they had in stock as they checked). We were refused being able to buy the bottles as apparently the till was switched off for the night and we didn't have the exact change. I asked if we could take the water and pay the bill at check-out, and they said "no, we don't think we can do that" and left it at that. There was no apology or attempt to help so we went without cold water. There are kettles in the room, so we could boil our own water, but in such temperature the cold water as is sold at reception would have been preferable. I was 10p short for the bottle of water - which relative to the £130 odd paid for the room feels a little frustrating - particularly as I would have paid full value when their till was open. The cooked breakfast is quite modest in size and the quality of the food was average. The hotel does not claim to have it (in retrospect of looking again), but there is no shampoo or body wash provided in the rooms, only bars of soap.

The location of the hotel is right on the sea edge, with excellent sea views - and in our room's case, a massive floor to ceiling window to enjoy said views. This was the highlight of the hotel stay. A short walk from the island and beach along the coast, and literally a less than 1 minute walk to the coastal path right next to the sea was really good. The location is in the north of Weston-Super-Mare, where things are a little quieter with less noisy cars and people during the day and night. Although no parking is provided, a near-by and cheap pay and display (or app paid) car park is available which was easy to find and close enough to still be convenient. The day time and breakfast serving staff were welcoming, friendly and professional.

The location wasnt great, not much to do around hotel and at 9pm everything around it even off license stores were closed! We were very hungry after a long day and there was no shops near by for food or room service.

Hotel in general was very good, the parking was a little poor, but we got lucky with a last space squeezed into outside. Not a lot in way of parking though. The staff were friendly, the room was tidy and had a great view! Hotel in general needed work, tired and dated. There wasnt a lot to do around the hotel, we had to walk about 10 mins to get to more entertainment etc.

There was no times for the breakfast. It stated online we could buy breakfast seperate if we only booked the room. And when asked at 930am said it was finished. More information regarding this would be beneficial.

Only problem was the walls and ceiling’s were a bit thin so had a very disturbed night with the revellers and they weren’t 20 something either. Not the hotels fault.

The rooms were spotless, the staff at reception were amazing. Breakfast was good. The hotel seemingly having its own little beach was lovely and outside terraces with food and Ice Cream, hot drinks etc (independent of hotel)
