Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The staff were lovely, as were the patrons & I loved joining in the open mike that happened to be on :) My room had a great view of the garden & my bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was lovely!

My freshly cooked to order breakfast was very well cooked and presented. I was asked on several occasions if everything was ok - which it was.

United KingdomListing not clear that this isn’t a functioning pub. Therefore had to go out again to get food. Listing also not clear that you pay extra for dogs. This is fine just needs highlighting. Check in felt uncomfortable as owner had not gone to bed - it was 7.45 the time we had said we were coming. Lots of road noise. Although clean the place appeared in need of an update.
Reasonably clean, well situated, one of the beds was comfortable, staff friendly.

The location is easy to find, it's just along the road. The moment I arrived, Pam greeted me with a warm welcome despite I was wet and muddy from the rain as I am doing the Ridgeway trail. The cooked food was very delicious with a really nice presentation. I'm treated as if I'm like a family and not a guest. My room is comfortable and I slept like a baby. I like the design of the place, for me its very nostalgic. The next morning, Sheila cooked me a very good breakfast and offered me a ride back to my trail (It was a very nice gesture from her) I successfully completed the trail and staying at Englands Rose would probably one of the best highlights of my journey!

United KingdomReally comfortable and friendly spot with fantastic food. We stayed one night and were treated to a wonderful dinner and breakfast. Felt like family! Dinner featured home made apple pie (So Good!) and when we complimented the chef/owner we were invited to pick our own the following morning from the big tree in the garden. As we did a beautiful deer approached from the nearby woods. Then the red kites descended for yesterday's scraps. That made the stay even more special.
