Didn’t have breakfast. Too expensive for what we thought kind of ordinary. Location was good but we felt sad at the rundown state of the seafront and high street.

The housekeeping of our room was non existant and when we complained the head housekeeper decided to argue with us in the corridor making feeble excuses, but then rectified the situation on our last day.

Breakfast was good, the bar steward Alex was very friendly and helpful, the waitresses were very efficient

The guy on reception 17th Aug at checkout was not very interested in how our stay was. Just said thanks when we dropped the key off. His job is to make sure we felt like we wanted to come back. Very poor customer service. There is an unhappy atmosphere amongst the staff. Probably because they don't have enough and feel valued by the management fro. Conversations we had. Breakfast was a free for all. Badly organised set up. Not free flowing enough especially with the majority of guests being elderly.

Was OK for a 2 night stay. Clean and the gardens are well kept.

the inside was very dated. Reception closed at 6, could never find a member of staff, not even in the bar as directed when reception was closed. a very strange fountain in the middle of a lounge area!

Our room was in 70’ built wing and not in the old full-of-character part of the hotel. Restaurant is open only for an hour in the evening. Disappointing breakfast: poor choices with no fresh fruit or vegetables

You have to pay for parking at the beginning of your stay, just £1 per night but one night there wasn't room in the car park and we had to park two cars quite far away from the hotel on the road, which wasn't impressive. We had a few rooms and they all varied, one room felt very grubby and the wardrobe looked like it was hanging off the wall, the carpet was in a terrible state but they are a dog-friendly hotel, so guess this is to be expected. But other rooms, especially in the main building were much nicer. It feels like the hotel needs a cash injection to spruce it up.

The location was brilliant, with easy reach to Sandown Beach and cafes. The staff at the hotel were friendly, especially the lovely lady at the bar. Prices for drinks at the bar are very reasonable. Breakfast was ok.

Could be better to provide blankets instead of duvets during summer times as my child felt very hot at night.Also ,could be better if provide a table fan as the room was bit warm.

One of our party got locked in their room with young children. Doors etc quite dirty. Lifts not working on check out day.

The friendly staff. Excellent location close to beach, town and restaurants. Good value for money. Evening entertainment an unexpected bonus.

The kettle in our room was broken and was on all the time and really very hot (and empty) when we arrived, the switch was broken). We unplugged it immediately and didn't turn it back on. It's a serious fire hazard.

Staff was very friendly and the room was nice and a good size. An aged Park Hotel with still some charm but could be maintained a bit better. For those who see the pictures online, the pool does not exists anymore.

A little tatty in places. There were a few not very well executed DIY repairs in our bathroom which was a shame as the bathroom itself looked renovated. Furniture in our daughters room could have done with replacing.

The property has an old world, slightly quirky charm, was clean / comfortable. Good value for money for the price paid. Staff were friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable and we had a good nights sleep.

very very dated. was on top floor at back of property which was dated probably in 80’s. no lift working so lots of stairs.
