Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Australiabathrooms were indoor/outdoor and they had some renovations going on next door so the workers could see during the day into bathroom and was very noisy during the day. the rooms are all air-conditioned but the rest of the villa is open with no windows so lots of bugs, lizards and very warm. But over all the villa was gorgeous and staff were amazing.
The villa is stunning, rooms were amazing. Staff were lovely.

IndonesiaThey 3 rooms villa and other rooms that are perfect for family, but the parking area is quite small. The sign is pretty hard to spot from the road. Also it will be a good service if you provide standing fan that guests can use.
The staff are amazing. The property is also worth the money. We enjoy our stay.

SingaporeThere were frogs and geckos in the villa. Many bugs around too because the kitchen and dining room open up to the swimming pool.
The location is near central Ubud. The rooms are big, and the bed is comfortable. The 3-room has its own swimming pool.

AustraliaThe villa (2) bathroom needs a bit of a refresh. In the shower area, the bamboo screen is starting to show its age. The bed pillows didn't have protectors on them. Once you leave the property, you take your life in your hands as the road condition is poor, windy and a fair walk back to the main street one way. The other way improves but takes you to the back of monkey forest ( access to town is via a made up path shared with scooters).
Lovely staff and breakfast and the villa pool was excellent. Bed large and comfortable. General facilities ok. The other plus was finding a good local wurang for dinner and a fantastic coffee place (Black Sheep) behind monkey forest. Lots of little eateries in the vicinity.

AustraliaThe location was central but you could not really walk safely out onto the main road (very busy) We spent a lot of money on taxis Accommodation was a bit dated and needed some maintenance Some family members were in a 1 bedroom villa next to very loud Russian guests so it wasn't very peaceful
Staff were great - very friendly and helpful Buffet breakfast every morning with lots of choice for everyone Pools were nice and villas were in a nice complex Happy Hour 5pm-7pm - 2 for 1 cocktails in bar near pool Spacious villa and large kitchen The First Cup Coffee shop at end of driveway did a great pannini, soup & drink for $4 - Lovely staff and great coffee

United KingdomNothing significant. If you don't fancy walking too far, you will need a taxi to centre - very busy for anyone brave enough to risk a scooter!
Good location, relaxed style, friendly staff. About 20 min walk to Monkey Forest, and 40 into main centre.

United KingdomThe building generally has to be better looked after, the building needs a layer or two of paint,it gives really bad aspect. All those mouldy walls... Also, the towels are really thin, cheap quality.(Luckily, they were changing them every day).

Singapore1 of the room door can't be close and have to be locked to prevent it from opening. Toads can be heard at night croaking in the pond.
Breakfast was basic. Small establishment with only about 10 Villas. 2 Bedroom Villa size was decent, both room on the same level with King size beds, there's a personal pool. Huge Kitchen with Fridge and Stove. Common area with TV, sofa & Dinning Table. Outdoor showering area rather dirty with algae on the wall. Wifi was strong.

United KingdomThe wifi was quite bad, it kept dropping out which meant checking work emails wasn't the best. I think the Villas are waiting for a new provider for wifi, so hopefully that will give them better coverage.
We loved our villa, very spaceous, very clean. The staff were fantastic, so helpful and accomadating, nothing was a problem for them. The location was also fantastic for us, although it's busy we still managed to walk to quite a few destinations such as the monkey forest from the villa. This was nice for taking in the local vicinity and getting your bearings. Not far from the centre of Ubud, only 5-10 mins by car. I wouldn't recommend walking with younger children (our son is 10) due to lack of walkways and busy traffic but fine for older kids and adults. The food was also very nice. We ate out most of the time because there are so many good places to eat. Breakfast was always lovely and you have a choice to go to the buffet or, have it sent to the room, which, was a nice option to have. Having the kitchen facilities also meant that we could have the option of staying in and chilling out sometimes too.

United KingdomBreakfast is fine but the omelettes are great! Coffee is very strong!!! The condition of the villas is quite old now, all a bit shabby, so go in with that expectation and you are fine. You will need a car or taxis to get into Ubud, it is too far to walk.
We had a two bed villa for our family of four including two teenage daughters. The size of the villas are lovely. The bedrooms are separated by the open living kitchen and pool area so you lock your rooms at night. Had some mie goreng and nasi goreng from the restaurant served to our room, which was lovely!

Australiawe booked villa and separate room too as we were 10 family members. you should not rely on reception for taxi or bike booking. They can provide you this extra service but at very high price. rooms are separated by one door where it gets noisy after 8pm if you are trying to sleep. not a very good accommodation if you are looking for quite room. bathroom door handle was broken in Villa and door lock wasn’t working. bar fridge at villa was in poor condition.

New ZealandThe breakfast was OK, but nothing to scream about. Maybe they could consider starting breakfast at 7, as we found a rush at 8 when they started as people were trying to get away on activities. I missed one breakfast as I had a tour at 7.30. Be aware if you have noisy neighbours you'll have to be patient, the villas are side by side. The rooms needed a little maintenance, but were still lovely. The sitting area was undercover but not airconditioned, only the bedrooms were. OK, but probably a bit crazy in the heat of the day, and could do with a ceiling fan maybe?
Loved our private pool, a real oasis! The outdoor bathrooms were cool, the service of the staff amazing. The beds were very comfortable, the location was close to Ubud centre but far enough away too. I like frogs and lizards, and if you do too you may be lucky to meet some here! Madee the driver took us out for the day and was such a charming guy. We got to see him play drums in a concert then spent the day exploring together. Altogether the staff were outstanding - really enjoyed our stay here and would definately return.
