Everything at The Lovina is kept to a very high standard. It's in a fantastic spot right on the beach.I don't have words to express how wonderful all of the staff are, they are a credit to the hotel and to Bali. I hope lots of business comes their way, because they truly deserve it. We will have no hesitation in coming back next time we are in Lovina.

IndonesiaThe location is great for seeing the dolphins, and a nice sunset, but besides that the beaches in Lovina are not great or worth going to. This particular beach in front of The Lovina Hotel has a lot of sea urchins!! But there were no signs posted at all and no one told us upon booking or check in. That could have been a disaster! We only heard about it when we happened to ask for the free SUP. They provided us with water shoes warning us about the sea urchins. What if we had not been interested in the SUP and had gone into the beach without having been told? Clearly communication is not a strong point here. The whole area before COVID and now during COVID seemed deserted and unattractive. I think the only thing happening here is the dolphins. Poor dolphins. I hope not too many boats disturb them.
The place itself is nice. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. They provide excellent smelling shower products. The pool is lovely, the flowered trees are gorgeous, the meals were nice and generous, the location is great for seeing the dolphins, but the staff should have told us before booking that this beach has sea urchins! It was a quiet beach, very still, great for a nice sunset, but a bit boring without waves.

United StatesPlastic toothbrushes! In recognition of an island's plastic disposal issues, bamboo please! Room was advertised as being heavily discounted, special price. I got what i paid for, not what i anticipated. This sort of marketing can only lead to disappointment. Furnished cheaply.
Good breakfast. Comfortable bed and linens. Walkable to 'town' so didn't need the shuttle.

NetherlandsOur room was at the far end back of the resort. We had booked the room with views on the mountain and field but we received a lower level room and that did not have mountain view at all, so no terraces either. It looked at the pool, so no privacy when poeple walk by, you can't keep curtains open. Our first room was nice with toilet and shower outside but in the evening not practical because of the small animals that come to the light. Also, it is humid outside so taking a shower doesn't feel refreshing. We asked for another room where the shower and toilet was inside and they helped us immediately. This time we had an even worse view but we were happy to be able to use the toilet at night without any scary moments. The bed was not great since it got a whole in the middle. Bed was big enough that I could move to the middle.
It is a large resort, very nice entrance in between the fields. The sun bar is at the beach near the pool. We received a nice welcome drink. Friendly explanation of all the amenities. The garden is really nice, you can do yoga for example for free. Desert and drinks at the sunbar was delicious. We looked at the sunset on the beach bags which was really nice. Each personnel was super friendly. Breakfast was oké, lots of choices, fresh cooked egg any style was nice. Location wise it was 20 min walk to the dolphins by beach, but best thing was the free shuttle service. They come and pick you up as well.

SingaporeWe book this hotel because it says it is four star hotel. But i doubt it can reach 4 star standard. 1. the aircon not cold enough and it is noisy; 2. the bathroom is very small and the basin is super high! my height is 1.6m but it is difficult for me to use the basin and don't mention about our boy in 5yo! 3. A lot of ants in the room which make the stay unpleasant. 4. Facility is basic and minimum.
