Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Japanfor the first night, we can hear really noisy sound in the night that we all didn't sleep well. but when I complained this situation to the front, they change the room for me immediately and we have a good time in the following days. Thanks!
really great breakfast! so many kinds of food you can choose. also provide Japanese wine. it's a good place for the families taking children because there is a small kids playing area and books which you can bring back to your room. Also your kids can join the stamp game which they can get a gift. I will recommend here to my friends.

TaiwanThe breakfast was good, many choices , but many of us were sick seriously right after breakfast. Three of us had diarrhea , and one even threw up for the whole day. There's a high chance because of the breakfast because those symptoms occurred right after we had breakfast.
The hotel is friendly to babies and offers one free diaper for each day. We also borrowed a stroller. There are many different kinds of pillows so that you can choose depending on personal preference. Good location.

JapanThe swimming pool was closed despite being full of water and the weather being warm enough. This was not mentioned on the app or website and finding it out there was disappointing.
Excellent service for a baby with the free diapers and baby food available, the play area at the lobby and the excellent buffet breakfast. Incredible value for money.

JapanCleanliness not so good. It says rooms are disinfected but they don’t clean the rooms everyday, nor they change bed sheets, only the towels :( If you’re going to stay for more than just a couple of nights it’s a bit uncomfortable not to have your room cleaned up and vacuumed everyday :(
Very family friendly and excellent for kids. Lots of amenities, good location, friendly and helpful staff. Good space in rooms to sleep. They provide extra beds if you need.

Good location with a short walking distance to Kokusai shopping and eating area. Nicely maintained and pro-environment friendly. They have a cute designed swimming pool suitable for families and the breakfast is well spread with delicious Okinawan dishes. The staff is polite and courteous too. Overall we had a comfortable stay at the hotel.

TaiwanThe reception staff at the hotel were unfriendly. Due to driving a seven-seater car, I couldn't park in the hotel's parking lot. I had to temporarily unload my luggage, but the parking lot attendant hurriedly asked me to move the car.
Excellent location, family-friendly, and provides a wide range of baby essentials.

CanadaThe bed was way too soft and hurt my back. It was also possible to hear adults snoring next door or babies crying but it wasn't too bad. The worst part was that the room was too small. Tokyo level small but in Naha! The front desk also wasn't very helpful.
Location was good, a short ride by monorail to the hotel and right at the end of Kokusaidori street. This hotel provides pretty much everything you need including free drinks, a large pool, toys/books for the kids, diapers and wipes. This is definitely a kid friendly hotel with many freebies!

Hong KongThe first staff I met wasn’t very helpful and he even asked me to carry my own luggage from the car into the lobby with me being 6 months pregnant and a 2 year old toddler sleeping in the car. Thankfully, a second staff overheard and reluctantly helped me with it. Also, soundproofing wasn’t great so thumping and jumping overhead and outside our door could be a heard late at night around 11:30pm. Bathroom was also quite tiny for a family friendly hotel.
The location was quite convenient as Kokusai-dori and Makishi station were mere minutes away. There were a lot of baby-friendly amenities and the play area in the lobby could be accessed at all hours. We had a large room with 4 single beds and a baby cot.
