Wifi was slow as it' s in the mountain.

The location is separated from the town,so it's very quiet at night. BF an dinner were impressive. There are private onsen, indoor and outdoor public onsen. It 's not crowded at all.

I very much enjoyed Ryokan Sanga, it doesn't get better than this. Everything was exceptional, everywhere was impeccable, everyone was enjoyable. The room, the food, the service, the baths, the premises, the forest, the town, etc.

- all fish menus have a lot of bones (small details but it kinda ruined dining experience overall) - no shower available at the outdoor public onsen

- all the environment and the Japanese traditional vibe - in-room onsen is superb!

There is not bath area for the public outdoor onsen.

The ryokan was situated in a quaint corner. Once we stepped into the ryokan, it gives a very comforting and relaxing vibe. Love the different onsen bath, especially the indoor public bath. Feels different after soaking in it. The staffs are so polite and always so helpful.

It took a bit of a walk to get to the bath (although short, but winter time was really cold outside).

It was a truly secluded area. The private bath was also good once inside.

Beautiful setting in the woods up in the hills. Traditional Japanese houses with creeks flowing through. The onsen is just wonderful and soothing after a day of driving and sightseeing. Delicious dinner afterward wraps the day, a good night sleep on the futon completes the experience.

Beautiful and traditional, everything about this stay was exceptional. The staff are so kind and helpful and the food was the best we’ve ever had. Gorgeous room with a private onsens, we felt like royalty. A wonderful place and we will definitely be back!

The authentic pillow wasn't so comfterbale but it's not the most important issue in this beautiful place.

An incredible experience. So quite and peaceful. We had an Onsen in our room. The water was too hot but still, it was unforgettable stay. You can feel from the first moment that this is a unique place that worth the high price. It's 3 minutes walking from Kurokawa Onsen main street. But the most awesomely thing was probably the food! The dinner and the breakfast was truly a Michelin quality food

- Ryokan Sanga transported us into another world! From the moment we drove into the parking lot, the staff attended to all our needs. - Outdoor baths were atmospheric and beautiful - We were served a seven course dinner in our own rooms. The food was delicious and artful, but not intimidating.

it's a bit isolated so a car is recommended to get there, you can also hear the river so if you're sensitive to sound (especially at night), bring earplugs, don't expect a busy location--you really go there to relax, I was a bit stressed about the scheduling because we had to commit to times for breakfast, dinner, tell them when we would be back but I guess that was just the Japanese culture of being extremely well-planned and prepared so we adjusted to it

amazingly friendly and accommodating staff who go above and beyond, wonderful location (in a beautiful forest next to the river), serene and peaceful stay with great food, private onsen was free to use but needed to be booked in advance, it's a perfect place to unwind and connect with nature

Check in is at 3 PM and we arrived at Kurokawa Onsen. Even though we had a wonderful shuttle bus, we missed some information about the town and how we could spend our time there. But the Ryokan is absolutely perfect.
