There wasn’t anything I didn’t like . It was perfect .

The place is beautiful , friendly staff and the breakfast was delicious . Rooms were always clean and very spacious . Walking distance to downtown was a 10 min walk .

Some of the showers were a little small and awkward. I would have preferred more bottled water in the rooms. But these are minor complaints.

This is a small hotel, formerly a residence. The rooms are large and very nice, and the hotel itself is lovely. Staff was very accommodating although at times, communication was challenging. Google translate came in handy! Parking on site, delicious breakfast included.

There was very little to no pressure in the shower. This is why I give Casa Maria Elena a lower rating.

The location was central and easily accessible on foot. The breakfast was very good. Raul was friendly.

We were in this beautiful “casita” and the only complaint I have is that there was absolutely nothing in the kitchen. I feel that they could have at least provided some kitchen utensils and a couple of kitchen towels and paper towels. Other than that it was fantastic.

The property is a little hidden gem. As you walk in the front door you’re transported into this gorgeous setting with a beautiful central garden. The breakfasts in the morning were delicious and served so caringly by Juan Jose. All the staff were friendly and professional.

The meals were exceptional. Great selection and much more that I would have expected. Lovely, peaceful dining outside o the patio or inside if wanted. I was very impressed with the friendly service and English was spoken, which helped. Each morning it started me off with a smile. In addition to what you ordered for breakfast, it was accompanied with dish of fresh, tasteful fruit, fresh squeezed juice, good coffee. Lunch was also a good selection and delicious. Mostly excellent Mexican cuisine but also some non. My room was bright, beautiful Mexican tile in bathroom, very spacious and comfortable, bigger than a normal hotel room and a peaceful, pleasant feeling. Big windows that opened and were screened. Could not have been more pleased. Stayed 4 days and hope to go back to that hotel again!

I'd have liked more filtered water delivered as a wine bottle of water for 2/daily wasn't enough (you can ask for more). It was chilly in the evening so I would have liked a blanket in the closet (we finally asked for one).

Casa Maria Elena is a lovely hotel that serves a wonderful, full Mexican breakfast included in the price of the room. Our King room overlooking the garden was spacious, quiet, and elegant. It featured beautiful windows that open, a ceiling fan, and AC as well as a roomy tile shower. The staff are accommodating and responsive. The full morning breakfast is delicious.

The casa was beautiful and felt very peaceful. I worked there all week in the patio and it was perfect. The location was great because it was super close to everything without being inside the town square. Everyone was so nice and helpful.

There wasn’t anything not to like

This place is a gem! it is located very close to the center of town in a quiet area. The outside garden is really lovely with the fragrance of guavas permeating the air. There were different seating areas and a fire pit as well. The staff were all extremely helpful and very pleasant. The breakfasts were really delicious, made to order and very filling. Also breakfast time is longer than most hotels so you don’t have to rush in the morning which is really a big plus when one is on holiday and trying to relax. The room we had was very spacious as well. All in all we had an excellent stay and hope we can return again!
