It was perfect!

Lovely Accommodations, Awesome family owned boutique hotel abnb. I felt like I had family watching over me...Valeria, the daughter was awesome she helped me with every booking and was so nice and accommodating, she even did a load of wash for me which I was so appreciative with so many days traveling ...I was in a unit detached from the primary residence and it had a beautiful courtyard...It was very private, comfortable and secure.. the room was spacious with very nice quality bedding, the breakfast which was included was so good we could select off a menu! I would highly recommend Casa Maria Elena and I shall stay here again, thanks so much for your wonderful hospitality!

Everything was just very good

Very friendly and helpful staff, central locations (5 min walk to cathedral), spacious and sparkling clean rooms, they prepared an extra bed for our fifth guest so we slept very comfortably, nice and tasty breakfast included, garage parking, direct and friendly communication via WhatsApp

My only concern would be mosquitoes but I did not bring off with me. The hotel provides us with citronella sticks.

First of all it was my first time in San Moguel. I was overwhelmed by so many lodging options. I ended up narrowing down because of budget, but I was exceptionally surprised. The house is beautiful!! It was like staying with relatives, Abeck was 100% cordial and attentive. The bed and pillows super comfortable. I did eat once, tacos de arrachera and they were very good. It’s less than 1/2 a mile walk to center. Overall I recommend greatly! Thank you so much!!

It really should not be called a hotel, more like a B&B. You come up to a locked door, there’s no foyer. A receptionist is also a convoy and a waitress. But very efficient and friendly.

At first we stayed at “Cava” room which is definitely not recommended, it was very disappointing for us to see that the place looks old and uncared-for, the bathroom is full of mold and there’s a lot of humidity in the room which caused me excessive allergy. When we communicated this to the staff they didn’t propose anything to us. It was like: “I am having trouble to breathe” -“ahh okay” then and after our request, we were moved to another room which was a little better. This place could definitely use a restructuring of their service values and a restyling of the whole place. We booked here because we thought we were having a “Mexican” experience in kind of a typical hacienda but nothing at all! The place looks exactly like the pictures, but don’t let them fool you as there are lots of details that escape from you with these pictures. Regarding the service, there’s a lot to say: The guy that opened us the door stared at us (3 women) while we were taking our heavy bags off the car, the receptionist didn’t care about our complaints and plus we asked for a breakfast that never arrived after waiting for more than 1/2 an hour. Overall we were so disappointed to have booked in this place, for same price or a little more you can find something really cool that would let you live the experience of San Miguel de Allende in a much better way! If I had known all of this I would have never booked this place.

The only thing I wasn’t pleased with is that I was given the wrong rooms. I paid for 2 rooms with 2 queen size beds. In fact this was the main reason why I chose this location and my family members were given a room with only full size beds which weren’t big enough to accommodate them comfortably in that room. My room only had one queen bed and one full bed. Unfortunately I didn’t realize the mistake until late that night and I was too tired. I didn’t see the other room until the next day when we checked out because our rooms were on opposite ends of the property. I brought it to the attention of one of the ladies on staff that morning and she was apologetic but no discount for their error. When you select this place, just make sure you inspect all your rooms first and make sure accommodations are correct. Also the room on the outside across the garden didn’t have good heating.

I really liked the location and the garden area in the middle. Very private and pretty.
