The fact that the hotel is in an ancient building adds charm but inevitably also comes with a few constraints, notably the bathroom is good but not as practical as in some modern luxurious hotels (mirrors to high for anybody under 1m60, shower in bathtub, toilet in the bathroom,...)

-The cost of breakfast - staff overstretched, staff problems are visible and tangible, we know it is a problem everywhere. Barkeeper was not the barkeeper but did his best. And when I asked for a virgin mary I was told the bar does not have tomato juice….??!! -Burgemeester Quick was in trouble at breakfast our last morning, and very slow in serving orders, lots of unhappy guests the girl who took orders did not know what to do, the young man who did know was obviously really frustrated and unhappy Now on a happy note, Receptionists were excellent and available all the time. Easter egg hunt adorable. Surroundings wonderful. -Main Restaurant is very pretentious one would expect the chef could have served typical Easter dishes, the rather strange choice for the set menu was Kalfssucade that is not my idea of easter nor is aardpeer which one would expect in autumn. The wine (per glass) on the menu was not available we refused the alternative that we tasted and was not good, the young sommelier (who replaced the former sommelier who apparently left recently) agreed, told us that there was a problem with the wine stock, and in got an excellent Georgian red wine in the end. He did his best to make the best of his and our situation, good for him!

The only thing that was a bit below expectations was the Spa, compared to the rest of the establishment. But to be fair, it was also because it was really busy, and there were kids jumping and screaming.

An absolutely wonderful experience. A gorgeous facility surrounded by nature. Very relaxing stay. The room was huge and the bed comfy. We felt really pampered. The place is full of art pieces, that I really appreciated. Also there are 2 restaurants on the facility, one is a high end restaurant perfect for a special dinner, the other is the cutest place for lunch or coffee.

The rooms are in need of some interior re-design. We found the style does not really match the "castle" theme, but are also not modern. This is a aesthetic detail, since they are otherwise really well maintained and equipped.

The rooms were spacious, with good facilities, and nice outdoors' view. The wellness center was a very pleasant, quiet and well maintained.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment with 5 adults. One slept on a sofa bed in the lounge, which was very comfortable. The staff came and made up the sofa bed each night which was nice. We also took our dog and the property provided a food bowl, matress and even snacks which was lovely! Breakfast is exceptionally good with a good menu of extra cooked items that can be ordered. It's a very quiet and peaceful location.

Stunning grounds. All on site farmed produce. We had an incredible dinner, the chef is so talented. The spa is wonderful, beautiful indoor pool and an excellent Sauna. We were so happy that we stayed a second night. Can’t recommend this place enough. Service also very good. Excellent breakfast wide and varied.

The building is old and very beautiful but some appliances might be newer, such as bathrooms. There were stains at the shower, which looked like mold. I think the breakfast is over rated, might be cheaper or have more options.

overall the trip was perfect, the team is very supportive and the hotel is very special, we will definitely come again in the spring.

Only the kind of bread in the breakfast buffet if I want to be very meticulous.

The place is absolutely wonderful. All the Staff is extremely well trained and very polite. The Breakfast was very good with several options á la Carte and at the Buffet. They give us all the time to have the breakfast with time even after the Breakfast open hours. I truly recommend this Relais & Chateaux.

Hiking path highlighted by the hotel is great for leasure walks or jogging. Breakfast provided huge selection including on-request omelettes and pancakes. Staff at the breakfast was really friendly and very attentive. Dinner at the Salons was really nice and the staff is really professional and made the dinner a wonderful experience.
