“Location is excellent to discover the Douro valley by car. Gorgeous views, and very comfortable room. Staff is lovely and very accomodating. We were contacted before arrival to ask whether we wanted dinner (3 courses with lots of options to choose from), which was very convenient after a long day of travelling. The wines from the estate are really good as well.”

“Warm and friendly hosts Pedro & Sara made me feel right at home with a personal welcome and tour of the hostel. They thought of everything when renovating the hostel from the 2 squeaky clean bathrooms per floor, to USB ports and lights for each bed. Such a generous, positive and caring atmosphere. Can't recommend enough! It's really worthwhile staying the night in Douro rather than rushing through on a day trip. I could walk and soak up the views of vineyards with new friends.”

“A fantastic place to stay in every way. Pedro and Sara are brilliant hosts with lots of fantastic local recommendations for walks and information. The hostel is absolutely immaculate with a beautiful roof terrace with orange and lemon trees. To have breakfast supplies in the morning and local wines in the evening were unexpected and much appreciated 😊”
