  • Fenix Furano Review score: 10

“Room size and facility for cooking in room”

  • “Everything! It's a beautiful cottage in a wooded area. The kitchen has everything we needed. It's 1 hidden gem in Biei.”

  • Furano Yayoi-house Review score: 10

“Beautiful, sparkling clean and new property. Owner lives in the unit on ground floor, so she'll meet you on check in. This unit is located 1 floor up, so there is a flight of rather steep stairs to navigate. Separate entrances, so no need to fret. Well located, in Central furano, but one or 2 streets off the main strip, so it's quiet and peaceful, yet very near to huge DCM (superstore) and big supermarket. Plenty of nearby restaurants within 5 min drive. Wished I had stayed longer.”

  • Log Cottage be with nature Review score: 10

“Look no further, my fellow travellers!!! I love everything about the cottage. The furnishing and design of the whole house is beautiful. The doors (even door knobs), windows, curtains, and furniture make you feel like everything was so well thought through. Plus everything is so new you can still smell the wood :) I booked it without knowing the cottage has an eco theme. Miwa san (owner) spent some time explaining the different setups, and it was really interesting to know about the cottage's solar power and chemical free water. The kitchen is well furnished, and you can absolutely cook. Miwa san kindly provided oil, salt, and sugar when i enquired about seasoning. There's organic drip coffee and tea bags provided as well. Bath was great, with shower area and tub. Other than toothbrush and toothpaste, everything is provided. The beds are so comfy!! The materials of the bed linen and blanket cover add to the comfort. We went in mid-May, where the weather was not that cold, but there were wood burining stoves, which probably would be awesome in the winter! There are toy sets for young kids, so it's definitely great for young families as well. Location wise, it is a less than 10min drive from Furano station. Located in the middle of a field and gosh the sceneries is beautiful! You can see the snow-capped mountains afar. In the night, you can see the stars well too. The wind gets quite strong in the night (at least when we were there), so night stroll might not be the best idea. All in all, this place is great and worth every cent. Love Miwa san's hospitality as well!”

  • Fenix West Review score: 9

“The hotel is actually located near a ski resort area but slightly outside of Furano center city. If you got car, there should be no issue. But if by public transport, then it might be a bit out of the way. New apartment building which also served as a hotel. The room is big , modern and comfortable. Upon check in we got help by a staff that is fluent in English and advised us on where to eat. The reception is unmanned in the evening but everything works out very well.”

  • The Box House Review score: 10

“It’s spacious, tidy and clean, with a well-provided kitchen for preparing breakfast/meals and a garage. Location’s good for those with a car - city centre and tourist attractions like the cheese factory, Ningle terrace and parks were just 15-20mins away.”
