  • “The only saving grace is that the bedroom on the first floor is spacious. Although, it has an attached stone bath, it was impossible to use as it was deep and dangerous to climb in and out. The so-called onsen is just a bathtub with an insufficient flow of hot weather when the temperature outside is 13-15°C.”

  • “The beds were comfortable and the rooms clean. There was only one shower downstairs but I never had an issue clashing with other gusts for it. The host was extremely welcoming and friendly.”

  • “Good location and helpful staff. Aircon worked well and the Lawsons downstairs was very convenient.”

  • Fukuoka Guest House Jikka Review score: 10

“This is a very well-equipped and well-located guesthouse. The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, seasonings and spices, there is lots of free coffee/tea/snacks, and there is even free skincare in the girl’s shower room. The guesthouse is right next door to Gyomu Super for super low cost snacks and groceries. Everything is clean and staff are very responsive and friendly. The kitchen/dining area is wonderful for hanging out in and meeting other travellers. Highly recommend staying here!!”

  • “I loved the location! Tobata is such a nice neigbourhood. Not touristy at all, you get a real insight into japnese life. Especially with the hosts and the facitilties. The family was sooo nice and help with everything immediately. The hospitality was exeptional!!!”

  • Guest House Nakaima Review score: 10

“Everything was perfect : location, cleanliness, staff!”

  • Comfort Inn Fukuoka Tenjin Review score: 9

“The staff were very polite and helpful. Room was clean and well-maintained, with good facilities. Location was okay, close to Daimaru and subway station. Sleepwear provided.”

  • Fukuoka Hana Hostel Review score: 9

“Nice location close to both Hakata and Tenjin stations. Very close to the Kushida shrine and inside a shopping street. Large beds with a locket close to the plug. Big luggage room that is locked at night. They provide slippers for every guest.”

  • “Cheap options (the cheapest in Kitakyūshū for sure), minimum equipment, and good amenities.”

  • “The owner is really kind and helpful, drove us to Yame and showed us around. There is a cheap and clean public bath walking distance of the guesthouse. I will stay here again if I come back in Yanagawa.”
