  • B&B Tempelhof Review score: 10

“A fantastic location, surrounded by historical importance great eating a stunning winding streets. The hosts were so kind and had fresh water , and bean to cup coffee machine as nice touch. They had remade our beds when we went out for the day! As a family was perfect as we had room to collapse and repack our bags as we were touring around a bit.”

  • B&B PETIT PRINCE, GENT Review score: 10

“The room was very nice and the owners themselves cared for us very well. The location is good as well, it's just a short walk to the historical city center.”

  • WAY SWEET DREAMS - Room 5 Review score: 8

“I feel like I need to leave a more detailed review of this place as the previous reviews didn’t paint an overly positive picture, and in my opinion, the description doesn’t give you much to go on either but I can say after staying, it’s a really great option for a weekend trip. Anything longer and you might prefer something bigger with more facilities. We had a 8am Friday morning flight from Edinburgh to Charloroi but because check in time for the room is 5pm, we had to get creative with our itinerary. We got the airport shuttle bus to Charleroi Midi station, bought a ticket to Bruges and spent the afternoon in Bruges which is totally doable in 5 hours. We downloaded a self guided audio tour, visited some pubs along the way and sampled some beer chocolate, fries and waffles (all the Belgian essentials). We got the train back along the line to Ghent and checked into our room - you can get the tram from the station but we walked. It’s around 25mins. Check-in is simple and easy if you have followed all of the pre-check in steps. Lots of people in the reviews have complained about there being too many emails on how to do this- but the process could not be simpler if you just follow the instructions. Another thing people have complained about in previous reviews are the stairs. Room 5 is at the top of a traditional building up 3 flights of steep narrow stairs, a bit of a pain if you have bulky suitcases but definitely fine if you’re travelling with carry on sized rucksacks. Room 5 is cosy and comfortable but well equipped for sleeping and showering. Room amenities include; smart TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube etc, shower gel, body wash, hand soap, a good full sized hairdryer, hangers on a floating rail, a large glass bottle of water and cups as well as a record player and a selection of records - we opted for Nina Simone and Marvin Gaye. Remember your hair conditioner as the room doesn’t provide it.”
