“Location is amazing, the best thing about it. Staff were friendly enough when one could get them away from the brioches and baked goods and running like chooks without heads when service was busy, which was like 90% of the time. They were friendly and helpful when you managed to catch them however. They also let me check out an hour later since I wasn't feeling comfortable about leaving my luggage unsecured in bakery.”
“The location is absolutely perfect, very central and quiet at the same time. It’s a stylish old house with vintage decorations - think maison de maître - so it may look narrow but you will be surprised how much space there actually is. We were in the Garden Room, which includes the ground floor and the first floor, and you really get A LOT of space. There is a sitting room and a dining room plus a kitchen on the ground floor, and a bathroom with a bathtub and a separate toilet. AND you get access to a small garden yard. If you take the stairs from the entrance hallway (shared with another room on 2nd and 3rd floors), you get to your bedroom, plus you have another, smaller bathroom and another room with a kitchenette. So really, you are not cramped! I only wouldn’t recommend it to people who are either too lazy or unable to climb stairs :) The owners, Eric and Lydia, are very helpful (they reacted very efficiently when we had a hiccup with the key), and in the room you will find a list of recommended places in Ghent with colourful descriptions. (I can add one more: café WAY, if you’re into specialty coffee!). There is a fridge, microwave, a kettle, a cooker and I think also an oven and coffee-maker (perhaps Nespresso?) in the kitchen – we were only staying for one night so didn’t even explore everything. I definitely think this is a good choice when visiting Ghent!”
“Fred was helpful, he allowed us to do an early check in(default at 6pm which is very weird), and the room was very nice, and spacius. He allowed us to leave our bags the last day and come back to pick them up in the evening.
Location is super good. I would recommend if you remember to bring cash and plan for the check in.”
“The professional attitude of the captain Sven the passionate person who manage all boat details, the boat was calm, the breakfast was special, the bed was very confortable we loved the experience and we will return surly”
“Great location just a few minutes walk from Ghent centre, interesting old building, spacious and comfortable rooms, Benjamin very welcoming and helpful.”
