    “My chalet was bordered by ponds and wilderness. During the day, various birds and butterflies were visitors. There were monkeys in the trees and giant lizards (around six feet long) occasionally sauntered past. At night, sitting on the porch, it was like being in the middle of a jungle. I loved it! The accommodation is basic but that is in keeping with the character of its location. (Having a TV would have entirely ruined the experience, though I did appreciate the very good wifi!) It’s clean and comfortable. The owner is friendly and helpful. If you want five star luxury, this is not the place for you. It will suit people who want the feeling of being away from it all, yet within ten minutes’ walk of some decent shops and restaurants. At the price, you could hardly do better. Highly recommended.”

    “The property is delightfully located in quiet countryside surrounded by tropical mountains. The aesthetic architecture and room layout is excellent. The very nice swimming pool being outside of ones room is most convenient. Most resorts (other than beach resorts) require a vehicle to get to beaches and around the area. Beaches in the area are just a ten minute drive away from The La Valle'e Resort.”

    “Fantastic view and beautiful lodge. Attention to detail was very impressive. Breakfast was delicious and staff were very friendly. There was an option to pay extra for air con however the two fans provided were quite sufficient. Will definitely be coming back to stay at Hillhouse!”

    “The location of the hotel is very central and easy to walk anywhere within that area. There are restaurants, bars and shops 2 minutes from this street. The room and bathroom were big with a terrace area. Check-in was super easy, the way it should be. It's great value for the price I paid.”
