“The owner's family and the whole service is 10/10. Communication was very good, at least two days before our arrival, Carl's family took great care to make sure everything went smoothly and that our trip was memorable. If you need anything or have any requests, just say so and Carl will help as best he can. I am very happy with my stay, thank you.”
“Eddy and his family are wonderful. They made getting to and from their island so easy (and we had a very early bus when we left). We stayed two nights and whilst this experience may not be for everyone, it has been a highlight of our trip so far.
The accommodation is (and has to be) very simple. You're on a floating platform of reeds! But it's a good size, the bed is comfortable and lovely and warm (helped by Eddy's mama's wrapped hot water bottles). It gets COLD at night as others have mentioned but tucked up snugly it doesn't matter.
Bathroom facilities are verrrry basic, if you like cold water you're in for a treat. And it really isn't the place for anyone unsteady on their feet. You're walking on planks on top of reeds and climbing uneven stairs. If these are not an issue then treat yourself to a couple of nights there, it's magic.
Also, Eddy includes a great 2 hour tour which is a must. He took us out at 10am and we had lunch at one of the other islands (also included).”
“The location was stunning, the hotel was very well appointed, and the staff were attentive. When we needed to change our booking (through Booking.com), the front desk manager was extremely helpful.”
“The accommodation is located in the community on the opposite side respect where the boat from Puno arrives. That's permitted to be the only tourist in this side of the island during our stay. You have to consider 20 soles per person to reach the accommodation from the pier with a motorbike. Otherwise you need at least 1 hour and 30 minute of walk.
The host family is amazing, Justa prepared delicious meals and joined us for a while for the walking up to pacha mama on the top of the island.
Amantanì is magic, it is a rural island surrounded by the lake. Stunning scenario where to relax and take great pictures.
The night sky from the house is unforgettable.”
“Lovely experience for one night. We had lunch and dinner, plenty of tasty food. Just be aware to bring cash- it’s not possible to pay with card, and there are also some extra fees- like transfer from the city, or entrance to Titicaca lake”
