“Very friendly hosts and staff. Room was very clean and housekeeping was excellent. Hosts gave us lots of good local advice. Location of accommodation is in a quiet area but close to restaurants, shops and the waterfront. Aircon in the room was great as mornings could be a bit chilly. Breakfast items provided in the room was a nice touch along with bath robes and nice large bath towels. Great bath/shower with lots of hot water. We loved having sundowners on the balcony, which gets the sun most of the day.”
“I did my booking at exactly 18:40 on the 15th, I arrived around 22:00 paid for,I was very disappointed to call at the gate to be told I don’t have a booking and it’s too late the phone was hanged with no further explanation, I called again and she said she was coming, anyway the welcoming part was disappointing given the fact that the guesthouse is presented as a 5 star, I was told the booking only came in that moment, but with my knowledge of booking.com once a booking is made the notification comes through to the hotel the same time & it also pops up on the interphase if it is nightsbridge, so it didn’t make any sense to me that after 3 hrs of my booking made it never showed up on the hotel side, but it was made on booking.com which reports to the hotel immediately.
The breakfast was just okay, apart from the fact that you can’t add extra food on top of what you ordered.
Breakfast options where not bad, but for a 5 star guesthouse it would be great to improve on the breakfast menu.
I understand my special birthday card request was not met as the hotel explained that they do not keep cards, but as a small gesture to the guest request of a note, if there are not cards, it’s also a goodwill gesture to type out a note and print out the letter to put in the room for the guest arrival.
The place is amazingly beautiful, the staff was good, just the improvement on the above mentioned.
