“An amazing property and host in the countryside of Japan. Comfortable, clean and spacious, a great place for a night or 2 or 3 to escape the cities. Take some nice walks, visit the winery and apple Onsen. The owner was lovely and so helpful, she made us feel like being at home. Thank you!”

“The hosts were more than friendly. The beds are comfortable and the room is clean. The floor heating in the rooms provides warmth without decreasing humidity. The most comfortable stay I had during my ski trip. The hosts will drop off and pick up guests at the lifts so you can enjoy the Zao mountain. Not much around the location so be sure to eat before returning to the hostel.”

    “A true homestay”

  • “We loved our stay at Matsuo House. Taka, Oraphin and Yuuchan were amazing hosts. They were so welcoming and made us feel right at home. The rooms are traditiinL tatami rooms, futon beds. The lodge is right beside one of the public onsens and close to the chairlifts. Highlight of our ski trip to Japan. We will be back. Especially loved our morning greetings from 3 yo Yuuchan - "sleep well?" We sure did. Xx”

  • “Hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. They made sure we were comfortable with an extra futon, recommended vegetarian places, and showed us the onsen and where to rent equipment. It has a communal vibe, so extroverted people would love it.”

  • CASA DE YOSHi 一棟貸し Review score: 10

“Cozy house with lots of wonderful places to curl up to read a book or play games with friends. Very family friendly. The host was very responsive to all our needs. There is an amazing supermarket close by so you don't need to cook but there are also good supplies for cooking your own meal. TIP 1: To lock the door, pull the rear panel towards you so the lock can engage. TIP 2: To get the fire going 1. Add pellets in the back compartment 2. Click the black button which is below a white cylinder (it'll compress the cylinder) 3. Light a pelletman firestarter (found in the brown box) and place it in the front area (just behind the glass) 4. Turn on the machine (it will blow air to keep the flame ignored)”

  • “everything was clean and there is an equipped kitchen. we appreciated the free tea and coffee;)”

  • Guesthouse Mintaro Hut Review score: 10

    “Amazing host and place 10/10”

  • “The hotel is near to the bus station, which is very convenient to go or leave. But most let me surprise is that the houser could speak Chinese, English and Japanese very frequently! There is no problem to have a communication. The room is very beautiful and clean. Only one thing let me sorry is the smell from the kerosene stove. You need to being used to it. In next season, I might go again and hopefully I could get the same room from this hotel~!”
