How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Sadly our stay was ruined by the ridiculously loud music coming from directly under our room. Impossible to sleep until this stopped at 12.30 am. We complained and were told that we would get a new room if one became available. One did become available but the hotel did not contact us about this and by the time I asked them if a different room was available, it had been given to someone else. A good night's sleep is surely the minimum one can expect from any hotel? Not impressed and the compensation offered by the hotel was simply inadequate.

the included breakfast was not good at all, and over crowded. There was a sauna that was scary looking and not functioning. check in staff was quite cold / reserved which is odd for hotel staff welcoming you. the room was outdated compared to the photos I saw online. I would definitely updated the rooms, even if it’s a partial repair - just to make them modern and at todays standard. the room looked from the 90s with the interior style. the bed was not comfy and the balcony was rotting. it’s simple renovation costs to put in that will really elevate.
it has a vintage charm and the restaurant interior was nice

We had many problems with the keys and had to get new ones several times over a 2 day stay. The staff was helpful to get it sorted, but it was annoying to be a repeating problem through out the stay. The beds were unfortunately not that comfortable, and because we were on the third floor, there was only a small window. Overall impression was that it didnt live up to expectations of our stay.
Location was very good and the hotel was nice. Good selection of breakfast, but quality was not amazing. Its a very charming hotel and the bar was really cozy.

the parking options was terrible. Nowhere near and the hotel couldn’t guarantee a spot for your car. The hotel was okay - the interior is old and very used. Our toilet kept running through the stay and the ventilation in the bathroom didn’t work. There was clear water damage in the ceiling in our room and around the hotel.

The room was tiny and the bed was uncomfortable, and we had the ”Supeior Room” so can’t imagine what the difference would be to a regular room. It was also very noisy until about 3am… maybe not the best option if you are looking to get a good night’s sleep.

Loved our stay. Beautiful hotel well designed dining room / bar and lovely food. Comfy beds and a lovely room, a fabulous breakfast with lots of healthy options chia pudding overnight oats etc as well as cooked breakfast, salmon, fresh fruit and juices. Right in the centre.

First off, the fees did not match the website fees agreed upon - more expensive by several times over. And then the room had no working lights, so I had to switch rooms. The original room was a higher value than that I switched to with a larger window and view. But the breakfast which was paid for online was booked up at normal eating times. Probably quite grand, so I was sorry to miss that. I had planned to meet up with a friend for breakfast and was hoping we could pay to add him and I could eat there. But instead we left for breakfast.
The rooms are clean and the hotel lobby/restaurant is beautiful. Staff was friendly. Coffee and treats were appreciated in the room as it had been a long travel. Great location - settled in the area of Helsingborg next to the tower and across from the inlet.
