  “Public areas are well presented with quite a few information boards on the history. Next to the river, although most of the guests will see the car park instead. Restaurant next door cooks quite good food yet pricy.”

  “Great old style lodge accommodation right on the Chena River.it's quirky and eccentric in an Alaskan style with stuffed bears and antique artworks. Ideal for seeing northern lights - you even get wake-up calls when they are dancing across the sky. Free breakfast (although basic) is filling and an easy start to the day. Much nicer than the corporate hotels in the town.”

  “Room and bed/pillows were comfortable. Bathroom had walk-in shower which I like better than a tub/shower. View (West side) was very nice from the 5th floor (floors 3 & 4 are good, too but below that views are obstructed by a building). Not sure what the views to the East are like). Greatest assets of this property are location (easy to walk to points of interest/downtown area) and free shuttle (to airport, train station). BBQ restaurant (and other restaurants) nearby or within easy walking distance.”
