How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The lady who served the breakfast could be a lot nicer. She monitors the breakfast like the guest are kids and makes you feel very uncomfortable.
The staff was amazing and the rooms were wonderful.

It’s nice and super clean, good location. But tooooo noisy! You can hear people talking, walking, baby crying, open & shut the door, luggage rolling all day and night!

Breakfast was so so. Mass-produced eggs and potatoes are never very good. Nice attempt though. Sausage was not good. Hotel and rooms are very nice - good job!

The location was awesome. Staff were all very friendly. They called me when I had left the hazard lights for my car on accidently. Our room was very clean! The breakfast was excellent with a great selection. I would definitely stay here again.

When I arrived at the hotel, I took the elevator up to go to my room when the power went out and I was stuck in the elevator. I tried calling to front desk to ask what was going on, they never answered. I also tried the elevators emergency phone and that didn't work. I had to open the door by force and crawl out by myself. Then the Wi-Fi in the hotel NEVER worked. I was there on a business trip and had to use my phone as my internet source, when I shouldn't have to since I'm PAYING for the amenities they described. I then asked to check out an hour later and they told me no. After the lack of Wi-Fi, I would've thought they could've accommodated a one hour late check out. They didn't even offer some sort of refund for the lack of Wi-Fi. I was there three days and the internet never worked.
The room was quiet and clean.

Don't call and ask questions or they may cancel your reservation. My husband called about their pet policy and somehow the manager interpreted this as us canceling stay. When we arrived we were blindsided. They had no rooms left. We lucked out and found one of the few rooms left in town at the Marriott. We've been staying at this Best Western at least once a year for 8 years and this really soured us on them.

The staff was rude from the moment we arrived. We were there for a funeral and had been out of state prior dealing with arrangements and were exhausted. We overslept a little and called down to say we’d be late and were told we had 20 mins (making it 11:40) or we’d be charged a full day on the day of the funeral to top it off. Mind you we stayed 3 nights in all and had to change rooms multiple times. Night two was the night we overslept and we also stayed in a king suite w a jacuzzi which didn’t work right. upon entering the room it smelled like something was dead in there. when I mentioned it no one seemed to care and I was too tired to fight about moving yet AGAIN. I will NEVER stay here again!! Oh and if our family were to come they wouldn’t be allowed to use any of the amenities such as bar or pool. Thankfully other family stayed elsewhere so we could all be together during this time. So if ur solo and don’t mind taking a gamble on cleanliness of a room and love rude desk clerks this is the best bang for your buck. Disappointing for sure and I won’t even look in a Best Western direction EVER again!

The staff weren’t very friendly and water spending $800 or more on rooms had the audacity to ultimatum our family on the day of a funeral to be out by 11:40 or pay for a half day. internet never works and room 200 was disgusting smelling. when I tried to book with the front desk person they were too busy to help me. did it thru the app and got a handicap room with no way of fixing it. I will NEVER A STAY at a best western ever again
