Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNo closet just a couple of hooks, no hangers. No way to hang up good clothes. No coffee maker (not available), had to ask for a microwave. Small refrig (no freezer but ok). Two little plastic cups - we asked for more. Bathroom issues: skimpy towels, and stained. Only one partial towel bar on shower door, no hooks. Can't turn on shower without getting in and doused with cold water. No where to put soap or shampoo, etc except on floor. Two tiny bars of soap, and packets of shampoo - really cheap. Toilet didn't fill with enough water so often dirty - no toilet brush to clean. No stopper in sink. No nightlight so had to leave on bathroom light. One thin blanket and three so-so pillows for king bed. Strange on the TV that there was a pattern of lights that kept changing. Only turned it on once. Assume it was a problem with possible new TV. Construction going on as they are trying to do the rest of the rooms I guess. Two stories in a circle around a courtyard (filled with construction stuff) so ice maker not plugged in but soda machine was.
New furnishings, but not yet done. Neighborhood is great, location to museums, fabulous outdoor shopping mall, next to CBS Studios, lots of restaurants. Parking included, but very tight and limited. We didn't move our car for 3 days! Nice desk and chair and couch/bed. Roomy and new windows so little street noise with also the white noise of the HVAC - good controls. New laminate flooring. Not sure how it is going to hold up since already badly scratched by couch. Also no door stopper so already a big hole in the wall! Big sign outside says Lyfe Inn and Suites. I gather Bevonshire is a new name.

United Statescleanliness...common areas-floors and walls, bathroom linens-stained, general cleanliness of room. To be fair, the new owners took over the day before I got there and they were already doing some construction to upgrade the property.

United StatesWhat needs to be addressed immediately is new shower curtains. I have stayed here twice in 2 different rooms and black mold scattered on shower curtians in both rooms. and very worn bathrooms. Bathtubs very worn also barely wanted to shower.... would Certainly not take a bath in the tub. Limited parking lucky to get a space.
The area was perfect, lots of food spots. Across the street from a park and post office. CBS down the block. Farmers Market and the Grove super close. Water pressure is great. Nice workers. Free parking for one car. Size of room was good. Table chairs Refrigerator & microwave a bonus! There was also a couch. Ok " King room "

GermanyThe rooms are apparently non smoking rooms but at least in our room there has definitely been smoked before. The furniture seemed very old and was partly broken. But it’s a good bang for the buck and everything seemed clean.
Very friendly staff and great area. Close to everything and the pan pacific park is very nice to watch dogs play :)

AustraliaMy stay could have been a bit better if there was a kettle and an iron in the room and if the entry doors to the rooms had soft close mechanisms installed as unfortunately inconsiderate people slam their doors shut. Also if the bathroom exhaust fan was quieter (it only comes on when you switch on the light). I didn't like that the rear entry to the laneway was always wide open for anyone to walk in, it would be better if this entry and the foyer door were opened by swipe card also, but there weren't any issues while I was there. Overall great for the price, I booked this for the excellent location.
