Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThere was a family with small children above us who were extremely loud. Kids were constantly screaming, yelling and stomping above our heads. They were continually jumping off the beds. It would be better to allow families with small children to stay on the first floor to not disrupt other guests.
The location was great. Beds were comfortable.

United Statesminor issue with seal on shower door,, it was damaged and while showering it leaked water between the doors and the floor was wet when I'd get out of the shower.......the bathmat was in place so it soaked most of it up, but the the mat didn't dry out overnight so it was wet again when I went to use it

United StatesI checked in but didn’t go directly to my room because I was late for an event with a congregation I was visiting. When I returned to the hotel and went to my room, the seal to show the room had been cleaned and sanitized was broken so I wasn’t comfortable with being in that room. I didn’t bother to enter the room. I went back to the front desk to ask for another room. The guy on duty INSISTED that I keep that room. He stated that sometimes the cleaning staff just forget to put the seal on the door and offered to walk me back to the room to check that it had been cleaned. In the midst of Covid, I was not feeling comfortable and to state that the cleaning protocol was sometimes not followed certainly did put me at ease. After I requested a refund, he decided to give me a different room. I’m not sure why I had to go through a 5-minute conversation about it!! I won’t stay there again and neither will others from our church who frequented that hotel. The customer service was disappointing.

I didn’t stay here. Not as advertised on booking . Under construction. No restaurant. Trash over flowing out front. Front desk assured me I would not be charged. Guess what? I was. I had to make multiple phone calls. Then they decided to give me half off. I did not stay here. I was not accepting half off. Booking was not helpful. Buyer beware. I did eventually get all my money refunded but it was hours and lots of phone calls. Stayed at doubletree down the street. Very nice.

United StatesShower drain was clogged. One light was broken. Coffee didn’t work. Musty smell in room. Mattress on fold out bed was about two inches thick, very old and uncomfortable. We told the staff about the problems on the morning after our first night and let them know we would be gone all day. Nothing was fixed when we returned
