Location was perfect. 5 min from gooseberry falls! The pool was small but clean and warm. So nice to sit in the hot tub and look out at the lake. Restaurant was excellent. Loved the brussel sprouts and cocktails. View from the restaurant was tops! The staff were so kind and generous! They went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Highly recommend making a fire down by the shore and using their free smores kits. It was a great way to end our trip.

The picture of the room when I booked had a lake view, but I got only side view during the check in. For the lake view we had to upgrade. The guy in the reception never read the request that we put on our reservation. We had to remind him that we came to celebrate the birthday, and was wondering if they offer any welcome gifts. He pointed us to their restaurant saying that we get a free desert as a birthday gift, but at the restaurant that they said it’s not true, and they don’t offer it. Definitely would like to see an improved service from the reception. The staff at the restaurant was great!

It was cozy, warm, and inviting. The property was right on the water of Lake Superior.

I had a cold shower one of the days. We were in a building with 2 rooms on the 2nd floor and 2 1 bedroom units below. Besides being cold, the water pressure in our shower that afternoon was uneven, as if someone else was running a dishwasher that was getting my share of the hot water.

We were right next to the water! I could hear the waves all night! The wall facing the lake was ALL WINDOWS. Waking up to the sun coming up over Lake Superior was simply the best. We had breakfast in the restaurant and had good food and wonderful service. We used the hot tub and it was perfect, large and not so hot that we felt like boiled lobster.

Was a lovely place to take our 92 year old Mother. She used to own a home on lake superior many years ago and always thought it would be fun to stay at the Grand Superior Lodge. She remembered when it was being built. Lovely stay and nice dinner at the restaurant and breakfast at the Rustic Cafe. Very nice.

The food and coffee were excellent. Beautiful views of the Lake. Overall, it was very quiet and felt safe. The staff were all very friendly and were able to give advice about activities and restaurants along the North Shore.

The building that I was in did not have an elevator (I think the main lodge building had one), which was inconvenient, because I had a lot of luggage.

I got up very early to go use jacuzzi, but was was not working. The staff member was trying to fix it but he had no luck. I waited an hour and did not get to use facility. I was very disappointed and frustrated. My knees had been hurting and I thought it would help. The night before the jacuzzi was full and I did not get to use it.

We loved the room, upgraded to a room with a view of the lake. The room was so spacious and comfortable. A big shout out to the gentleman at the front desk when we arrived Wednesday early afternoon. He was so courteus and helpful. We plan on returning next year for our annual trip to the Two Harbors rea.

I would have appreciated from a staff member a ride to the start of my Superior Hiking Trail hike, very close to the lodge. Would have put my experience over the top!
