How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Condom rapper on night table next to the bed . And was not pleased with the breakfast felt very cheap.
Staff were very pleasant. Room was nice.

Room had very little storage and my shower shower had black mold in certain spots My room backed up to the highway so it was noisy Also there was no safe in the room
Breakfast was very good, had a variety of items and area was clean Bedding was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very hospitable. The lobby decor was beautiful with a western theme and the breakfast area was decorated with beautiful carousel horses

The hotel was a little dated but nevertheless clean.
The room was very large. Breakfast was okay. Staff was friendly, I felt safe and overall I recommend this hotel.

We have stayed in lots of suite-style hotels over the years and this was up there with one of our favourites. It was clean and tidy with staff constantly cleaning the communal areas. The breakfast was the best we have had and the breakfast staff were friendly and attentive to the food area. The room was a fantastic size for a family of five. A big thumbs up from us.

Room did not have a full size/floor length mirror. No bath mat and had to ask for extra towels as there were not enough for the number of people we had booked the room for. The sleep sofa needed a thicker blanket. The room smelled musty.
Beds were very comfortable. Room was spacious.

The AC was extremely loud. We needed to turn it off at night, which is ok for March but probably not in summer. The carpet hasn’t seen a vacuum cleaner for a while, we’ve seen a lot of dirt on it.
Nice and friendly staff, good and clean facilities.

Peeling wallpaper and dingy bathroom.

My brother and I traveled at the same time with separate reservations and even though I gave them my driver's license and credit card they ended up charging my room to my brother's name and mine to him! They could also have had extra/more pillows, towels and water cups in the room.

Booking.com and other 3rd party provides faks information about hotel having a pool as per staff pool was removed years ago the only reason we chose this hotel is for the pool so the kids could swim. We went to check out the pool and receptionist told us that there is no pool, good thing that we did not come down in our swimming suits that would be funny.
Breakfast was good location was ok big room but needs better sofa bed which was very uncomfortable to sleep on

I wasn’t sure how to adjust the temperature in my room. Also the pool was under construction or repair so it was not available for use.
Breakfast was very good. There was a nice variety and plenty of food!

Our room reeked of cigarette smoke. The room felt so dirty we actually laid towels down to walk from the carpet into the bathroom. Friends stayed in a room on the same floor and had a great experience so unfortunately we feel like we just got a bad room. It was so late by the time we got checked in we didn't feel like dealing with trying to switch rooms. I always travel with an oil diffuser so we were hoping that would just clear the air. It didn't. It smelled just as bad the next two days.
This was our second year staying at this location for our weekend before Christmas NY trip. The location is perfect- no NYC driving, close to the ferry, very convenient! The breakfast is great! Staff was great! Online check-in was easy.

We were visiting NYC and it wasn’t necessarily close to anything in which we were particularly interested. But the price was right.
Front service desk were wonderful. They were accommodating, provided advice and were generally very pleasant.
