Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Then got another room that locked but was dirty, hardly anything worked. Mattress was broken and drapes were dirty and wrinkled. Staff lied. United StatesThe place is a mess from the parking lot to the overall condition of the buildings being in total disarray. People live there full time, and that was confirmed by the staff, so of course anyone else is not welcomed by the attitude and lack of consideration from them. A family lived there above our room and we could not sleep. The staff offered almost apologies it seems they are used to these complaints. I will never stay there again!!

United StatesThe place looked rundown and needs some serious updating. The fireplace was wood burning, not gas and did not look safe to use. The bed literally swallows you up because it sloped so bad to the center..very saggy and uncomfortable. Maybe got 2 hours sleep. Oh and big kitchen... Not one single utensil or dish...who packs dishes for a trip? Very disappointed!

United StatesCertainly not the staff's fault but 5 mins. before check-in a violent storm knocked out the power. After driving 500 miles we waited in the car for another hour for service to be restored.
The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The room was excellent. It was very clean and well-appointed.
