Showers were old and molding in the grout. Carpets were filthy and smelt of dog piss. Room was stuffy.

Staff was welcoming and ice machine worked well.

Broken bathroom door. Pocket door was missing screw and would not move properly on track. Had to have husband help me open door enough to fit through sideways. Was stuck that way for duration of visit. Staff couldn’t move us due to being full capacity. Safety nighttime latch broken. Sofa bed dirty when opened for my child to sleep-popcorn, hair, dirt. The scariest part was at 8:30 in the morning, we had a quick knock on the door. As I got up to see who it was, the guy just starting opening my door. He didn’t announce who is was and he wasn’t in hotel attire. He was just wearing a hoodie. When he saw me all he said was sorry and walked away. I’m assuming he was maintenance. Front desk said, “oh, sorry, he’s new”. If he would have come 15 minutes earlier, my teen daughter would have been sleeping alone while we went down for breakfast. Completely unacceptable!!

The toilet ran all night long. When the heat kicked it on there was a bad smell. The room wasn’t cleaned completely

I was charged a different price which i was not aware of. The elevator down button did not work. The thermostat did not work in my room. The tub was peeling!

The room we stayed in didn’t have a bathroom shower curtain, smelled terribly like animals, the floor was stained all over, no sheets for pull out sofa, found a few cockroaches, and the list goes on.

The hotel reap of old cigarette smoke.. the pool was closed on our 1st night stay because someone got sick, my hotel room refrigerated made a loud unbearable noise to the point where we had to unplug it. My room had a terrible odor. Checked out and never received a receipt.

Sometimes the coffee was not hot. A few areas of the property could be updated. The tub in our bathroom was in need of replacing.

Breakfast was good with a good assortment of selections.The staff was exceptionally nice and welcoming! The rooms were nice and spacious with easy access.

Homewood Suites Newport was disgustingly dirty. Too many things to be able to complete my list but a few examples include: mold in the shower including growing up the walls, something bit my leg while I was standing on the carpet, the floors in the kitchenette were sticky. I was concerned about bed bugs but I didn’t want to check under the mattress.

The front desk staff were friendly. They offered us another room but we did not think the other room would be any cleaner because of the overall cleanliness of the facility.

I booked 2 rooms the first rooms we were given were on opposite sides fo the building even though requested them together. the first room smelled as though someone peed all over it. the second room the floors were all sticky and there was a dead cockroach on the floor. we went and complained they moved our rooms right next to each other and inspected the rooms before we got in there. the next rooms were cleaner but the bathrooms had mold in the tubs in both rooms. we stayed one night then went to a different hotel. My expectations of this hotel were very high and it was very gross

we had small bugs in the room (thank goodness nothing in the bed) which was reported to the staff; an exterminator came the next day to spray the room - however we still found small bugs the next day; to be fair, the manager offered another room but we were on our way to a funeral and didn't have time to move suitcases, hanging clothes, toiletries. etc.; also the manager discounted the rate for our room

The hotel room had a roach problem. My families arrival was at 1am and we were just too exhausted from travel to leave the facility. It was immediately reported. The staff was very nice, but this stay made a poor impression on my family.

We ended up cutting our stay short a day early after seeing a Roach infestation upon returning to the room. Worst part I was still made to pay for the room after my family and I were inconvenienced and had to pack up and find another room.

we DIDNT have any towels in the room. the bathroom was ok but the shower was not made well and there was little water pressure. the room was ok but expected more for the price. the hotel was a little loud at night which was surprising.

The staff were amazing. Breakfast was good. gym was good.

Water took some time to get warm; curtains were broken, so difficulty with opening/closing; overnight when going to restroom found a live roach on the floor- when informed staff seemed nonchalant and unapologetic about it as though this was common-overall pleasant but lack of customer service was disappointing. Room was overpriced- even for event. Would hope for more amenities for price- even typically wouldn't mind two thin bars of soap and small shampoo in an $80 room, not a $300 room.

Staff for the most part kind, good location. Like the late check-in and check-out. Room was spacious.
