The hallways leading to the room smelled like mothballs. The floors leading to the room in the hallways seemed like they had weak spots in them like the floor was giving away in spots.

There was no breakfast that I knew of. For the most part the room was pretty clean, except for something spilled down the little refrigerator door. The shower was nice and low for short people like me.

Kleenex dispenser was empty. May batteries were going dead in tv remote, but we liked the simplicity of it.

When we first arrived we thought this might not be good. Very plain outside. The lobby had a strong smell of incense maybe. We headed up stairs to find a very clean room. Recently painted walls and clean appearing carpet. Quiet stay. We did not want breakfast so that was fine. Will stay there again when we are back to Kansas. S and G from Nebraska

The first room they gave us on the lower floor stunk so bad that we were not going to stay, and the bathroom that you didn't want to use on less you really need to.

The air conditioning wasn’t turned on until we checked in so our room was super hot. We opened the window for a bit and that helped. When it finally cooled off it was nice.

Location was great. Easy to get to. Staff was really nice! Beds and pillows were comfortable. We checked in late, almost midnight, and they were very accommodating.

Don't judge a book by its cover. This is a family owned and operated motel just a block off of the main highway thru Newton. It is a budget-minded hotel that exceeded my expectations. We were in the Newton area for a weekend event and needed a place to sleep and shower, nothing else. Pulling up to the motel I thought that we might be on the minimum side of those needs. But the room was immaculately clean, the bathroom, though small, was also very clean. The beds were very comfortable, there was a full selection of cable TV channels and the a/c kept the room perfect in spite of the 100 degree heat outside. The motel was very quiet and the staff friendly. No question in my mind that I will repeat my stay with them when I am needing accommodations in Newton in the future. Thanks for a great stay.

No coffee maker in the room. Unable to dead bolt the door from the inside. Bed was only moderately comfortable, but acceptable for the price range.

Low cost and they were able to accommodate a very late check-in (we arrived at 3:40am due to a train delay). I also appreciated being able to adjust fan speed and temperature on the AC unit in the room.

Sometimes the other occupants are loud, but that's no direct reflection on the hotel itself. Just wish other patrons had some respect for others who were trying to rest. I am a day sleeper and work 3rd shift.

The owners/ staff are ALWAYS friendly and professional. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The air conditioning has been working well during the summer heat.

There was not even a coffeemaker in the room, and certainly no breakfast room. Shower head is at chin level, hard for a 6 foot guy to shampoo, and even the provided soap and shampoo smelled rancid. The mattress was too soft for me, but I realize that's a particular preference that not everyone would share. Location is right next to a truckstop, with big trucks coming and going and idling at all hours. A bowling alley is right next door, separated by literally 3 feet. It wasn't loud, but altogether this felt like a sleazy setting.

At least the room was clean, had hot water, free Wi-Fi and a decent enough range of TV channels

Hotel had a musty smell, old carpets that had either stains or dirt tracked in, facilities were very basic and almost no amenities. This would have been fine for $40 or $50 a night, you get what you pay for, but for this price range I have stayed in nicer places that had more amenities.

The shower had good water pressure, the staff was friendly and helpful.

I am a day sleeper and it gets noisy sometimes during the late evening hours. I work 3rd shift and it can get a little loud on the weekends.

I ALWAYS enjoy the owners and their kindness towards me when I see them during my week. Very nice folks who run a great motel at an affordable price.
