Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Belgiumthe unit was not cleaned when we got the keys. The girl at the reception promised it would be ready by 4pm. We came back by 5pm and it still wasn’t cleaned. Nobody available anymore at the reception. luckily we found someone who works there. He made sure it got cleaned. otherwise we were supposed to sleep in someone else’s sheets with no clean towels

United StatesThere was no washer and dryer in the units and the laundry room was in another building on the 2nd floor. This was not easily accessible for carrying laundry.
The receptionist (Patricia, I think) was extremely nice. It was clean and near the Town Square. Easily accessible to dining and shopping.

United StatesI was disapointed in the VRI resort. When I made reservation for three nights in one apartment, I expected to stay in that one apartment. You should of told us before hand that we had to move to a different one. I would of never made a reservation if I knew that . You should of told us, not a good way to start a vacation. I will probably never use VRI again. Should get some money back for our inconvience.

United StatesIt was very interesting that I saw NO staff during my stay. I had been promised an email about accessing my key for the room, but that was never received and it took some time to get lock box access. All of the instructions led me to believe I needed to coordinate with the office the next morning but the office never once opened during my stay, which was a shame because it appeared there was a nice display of activities in the area.
The room was nice, beds comfortable. Enough supplies provided to last for my stay.

United StatesThe place needs some updating, it's quite old. Room smells a little musty, could use new toilets, as they were sized for children and I didn't much for having to take carry out the trash to the dumpster at the end of my stay even after I has collected it all from our room. It wasn't the worst I've ever stayed, but don't know if we'd stay there again.
