the elevators go SO SLOW. I feel like I wasn’t told about the $75 deposit prior to booking. and although Devon (?)had printed out explicit instructions to get to LGA. the morning concierge gave me a different routeto take the R, which doesn’t run until after my flight took off. I had to try and figure it out from memory cuz my internet doesn’t work in the stations and I missed my flight. I’m fact I was supposed to be home by 11 am this morning and now I will get to a city an hour away without a ride home at 11:30 pm. I am going to have to sleep at the airport until the greyhound leaves tomorrow afternoon. so all the good i experienced kinda got washed away by todays episode. probably won’t be back.

for the most part the staff were extremely friendly staff and helpful. I loved the room, the bed, the decor and the location was great.

Room way too tiny, bedhead wear and tear dramatically, staff didn't know about the crib, price dramatically increased compared to the time when booked on booking.com

Noise from the street especially at night (we were on the suite on the fifth floor) but that only lasted until about midnight or so, coming from patrons leaving the establishments when they close. Once everything was closed, it was pretty quiet. The room could do with a refresh - the material on the headboard was cracked and peeling.

Staff were friendly and good. The location was great - walking distance to shops on Fifth Avenue, good selection of restaurants and breakfast places nearby, theatres, etc. Decent value for money if you just need a base for your visit. We'd stay there again if the price was good, for a weekend trip, just because the location was good.

The window looked out to a brick wall, so it means that no daylight can be seen in the room. Something to keep in mind. For us, it was still fine and wasn't a problem as we weren't spending any time in the room during the day.

The hotel is in a great location - very central, easy subway access, short walk from the Central Park. The staff was great, very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, bed very comfortable and good size room for what we needed.

I was originally given a price of £678 for our room which I was more then happy too pay and even happy too pay the city tax on top of that. Unfortunately this did not happen because I was charged a extra pre-authorisation payment of £729 before even getting too the hotel, which I thought would have covered the hotel and city tax for the 3 nights, this did not happen because when I got home they decided too debit me a extra £664 pound despite not dropping the pending charge they told me would be released at check out so instead I have been charged £1393 Despite an attempt every single day too get hold of the moderne too solve this I have had no answers too my 15 phone calls and 2 emails none of which have been helpful despite being told by a member of hotel staff that this should have been given back by now Terrible customer service

The hotel itsself is in a great location, very close too the subway and walking distance too alot of the attractions we wanted too see Every member of the staff at the hotel we met and was assisted by were amazing

the room (deluxe room had a narrow and covered window, that felt a bit like you were underground.. ) was small with a covered window towards an interior courtyard and no natural light. Unfortunately I did not realize that prior to booking , and could not change it after arrival, as the hotel was fully booked. If natural light and looking outside matters to you, then it is worth booking the suite which has windows on the street and is perfectly fine.

our room was very warm. we couldn’t get the temp to go down. was actually able to open a window to find it wasn’t locked and didn’t have a lock. there was a fire escape running right past the window. When I told the front desk, I was told it didn’t really matter since our room didn’t face a street. I insisted it be fixed and the air to be fixed as well. upside. when we came back from dinner it was fixed and the window was locked. Also , small thing … but The description of the room said it had a full body mirror in it. To me that includes your legs and feet not just from the hips up. women want and need a full size mirror

They said they only clean the rooms and make beds etc every 4th day, so we could not get that done during our stay. The room's view wasn't nice. I asked for a weighing scale for my bag and they said it was broken. But overall no big complaints.

Good place to stay. The best part is the location of the place. The room was good too, as shown in the pictures. They were quite helpful with keeping the luggage with them on checkout day until the time of my flight so that was nice.

The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The location is just 5 minutes from Time Square so you can get everywhere in midtown easily. The room was comfortable, and the air conditioning was welcome in August!

No daylight in many rooms. makes it dark. Also the bathroom required some extra maintenance here and there. Cleaning only every third day.

If you want an affordable hotel within walking distance of Times Square: look no further. it is basic, but nice and staff are friendly.
