How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The ice maker didn't work and the walk outside in the rain was a long walk for me,being paralyzed in my right leg. Other than that the stay was good

Room wasn't fully clean, people above us sounded like they were having a wrestling match. Only fee doors were locked to get in to building certain doors you can just walk in with no key card.
Pool being close by, free breakfast every morning! Updated electronic locks.

-the bed wasn’t that comfortable -the refrigerator needed to be unplugged due to constant rattling -the toilet seat was loose and so was the bathroom door knob

We left for the day and when we returned the door wasn't locked. We called the front desk to report it, but we weren't ever notified if it was fixed.
The price of the room was good for the location, room was clean, comfortable beds.

The room had a weird smell to it... kind of reminded me of menthol. For a room that could accommodate 4, it needed more towels. It had 2. The dead bolt was loose. It looked like someone broke it at one time... meaning the safety wasn't the best.
It was a basic hotel room. Two beds, VERY SPACIOUS! it was clean, and the air conditioner kept the room comfortable. We were roughly 6 minutes to all attractions. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was delicious. It was nice to enjoy a hot breakfast before beginning our day.

The AC never stayed on more than 2 minutes at a time so it was extremely hot in the room. The room was dirty, has dried toothpaste in the sink when we arrived, what looked to be blood stains on the carpet, and some weird smeared stain by the headboard where you rheads lays…. Also, the coffee pot didn’t work…
Somehow I accidentally booked 2 queens and the front desk lady helped us switch to a 1 king with no extra cost; she was very nice and helpful.

They have wifi but it is such a large location the wifi only worked when we were close to the pool which our room was not.
it was close to everything we needed to do while visiting. Couldn’t beat the price.

The beds are hard as a rock. The beds really need to get changed thats my only complaint.
Breakfast was decent. The facilities were as pictured. The swimming area was enjoyable but floors are very slippery. The room was surprisingly spacey.
