The decor is original from the time when the hotel was opened in 1950's. There are many art works by local artists.

Karla and her husband were very hospitable, and when we found a small garden snake in our room they were really helpful in immediately coming to remove it (with plenty of regard for us and for the snake). It's also an excellent stopping point on the way to Eastern Cape.”
