The only fault in room was the lady did not tell us it was a key card activated system for aircon. But small oversight.

I liked the full experience, the professionalism of all staff from check in to room and walking past staff on the premises. Breakfast, dinner were all of the highest quality. Have found our permanent accommodation in Graff-Reinet going forward. Loved the availability of more than one swimming pool, it helps if one does not necessarily want the exposure to other people who have children playing an swimming with you.

Wi-Fi was in fact practically non existent in the room and very fleeting outside. One had to go to the reception area to receive coverage. Also no usb points in room!!

Room and bathroom were large and well fitted out. Although there were plenty of mirrors in our room, there was no plug nearby which I could use for the hairdryer. My sister’s room however had a plug suitable to use.

Could turn the outside room lights off at night.

Fantastic all round accommodation Room serves to the pool area was spot on. Large, room, bathroom great. linen was sliky smooth. breakfast was top notch. Very happy with our stay.

The pool could have been cleaner, but not worrisome.

Amazing atmosphere, wonderful restaurant and bar, beautiful historical buildings, and super friendly, helpful staff. Quite convenient for stop over or longer stay. Staff also went the extra mile to make our anniversary a little more special.

There was a damp smell that if you put the aircon off was quite strong. It was coming from the bathroom.

Delivery times at the Resturant could be improved

everything went very well, from check in to dinner at there unbelievably amazing restaurant to the bed room being immaculate. i loved every minute we were there.

Despite no loadshedding, aircon interactive during night, but no air/ wind / cooling. ? Aircon outside fans capped/disabled during night would be a major disappointment if intentionally done by host.

The room we were allocated to was not what I expected or as depicted in the booking description pictures. I feel more improvement can be made in standardising all the rooms per category.

All the staff were amazing. Very friendly, attentive and polite. The hotel grounds and surroundings are beautiful. The room towels and linen felt clean and fresh.

The bar didn't have cold white wine, which was disappointing as after a long drive, we were looking forward to relaxing with some cold beverages.

It is a very busy hotel during the Christmas period for travelers to the Garden Route. It didn't feel very busy, maybe because people only stayed one night, but the hotel never felt crowdy or busy. They offered a very nice breakfast at the hotel.

Rooms need some maintenance, rising damp, marks on skirting, hotel is not a crisp and finished as it had previously been. Some of the trainee staff need more experience which is expected as they learn.

The location and period correct architecture, easily one of the greatest hotels in South Africa. We love the open spaces and layout.

Aircon was noisy

Coffee machine in room did not work. Was woken up by staff at 11pm asking if we called. which we hadn't as we were fast asleep.

As hotel was extremely busy it was great that there were three pools one could use.

The dinner was cold. Dinner and breakfast was not the same standard as our previous visit. People with dogs staying next to people without dogs, you need to seperate the accommodation to cater for this. How will we know that the unit we occupied was really clean and not being used by people with dogs. Dogs allowed at eating area. Aircon not functioning 100%.
