The best experience I ever had. We loved how everything was organized for us, we dont need to do anything, just enjoy the experience. The Safari was amazing, with all the big Five and the animal lessons with Marcos. The food was exceptional as well, we want to thank so much Rodney for being so nice and polite with us, always with a big smile!! Loved the bush walking with Edwing and Panic, what a experience!

There's no down side. The place is perfect!

This is so far the best hotel I ever stayed. I do not have enough compliments for this place. Facilities, food, atmosfhere, staff.. Everything was PERFECT, they think in every detail. Our guide, John went above and beyound during the Game Drives. Please, do not hesitate on booking this place.

Had an enjoyable experience for our first ever safari, the River Lodge was tastefully decorated and had ample space for guests to roam around and soak in nature. The planning of meal/snack times and activities was done very well, it made the whole safari experience seamless and we felt that our time there was well spent. We could also see impalas coming to our room's balcony area! The food was tasty and well plated! We had a wide selection of both food and beverages. The restaurant staff were friendly too. The main highlight would still be the safari drives. Our safari guide and spotter (Tervin and Philip) did an amazing job teaching and showing us about wildlife (e.g. animal sightings, footprints, animals' diet). They also shared about the vegetation and how it relates to parts of their culture. They took great care of us by giving us blankets when the days started to get cold. They were hospitable, friendly, and professional as well. Our guides made our first safari trip even more memorable with their warm personalities.

After the morning game drive (great chance that you spot the Big 5) you get an perfect breakfast. Friendly waitress and staff help you to make your visit outstanding. Same for the game drives. The ranger and driver both make your stay unforgettable. Rooms are perfectly clean and the roomservice is great. Spa and wellness we will recommend to everybody in between your game drives. The evening game drive end when it is dark. An amazing experience. Well done Kapama!!!

Our Safari guide Nevermind and our tracker Ansi were the best. Very helpful and friendly. Thanks to them we were able to see the Big 5. I also want to thank our server Rodney whowas very friendly and very helpful. The resort is luxurious and blends with the environment, we were able to see animals while eating our breakfast.

There's really almost nothing to complain about - Yes it is a bit expensive but the experience you will have is once in a lifetime. - I blame Kapama 100% for the weight gain during our stay there because of the delicious food they served us :-)

Kapama River lodge is truly the getaway you need and deserve - Staff are amazing, kind, courteous and caring - The kitchen staff catered for all diets and their food was amazing, it was like having fine dining every evening - Our rooms were exceptional (we were lucky enough to have the Royal suite) which had an amazing view and was large and comfortable - Facilities were great, with a well kitted gym and fantastic spa - Game drives were excellent, our ranger was knowledgeable and a constant source of entertaining information. We were lucky enough to not only experience the big 5 but also gain a better understanding of the ecology and flora around the lodge - Location from Hoedspruit airport is almost a stone throw, the airport is literally across the entrace to the lodge.
