There was absolutely nothing to criticize.

Very professional and friendly staff in a lovely hotel situated in an excellent location for the V&A Waterfront. Breakfast and late evening drinks in the bar were both very good experiences.

Nothing negative for me. Visitors that seek for silence might be disturbed by the noise from the Waterfront locations.

I come back to this place every time I am in Cape Town. Friendly staff, great location, very nice garden with pool to relax, great parking.

Not being there more than one night! It is a bit difficult to find using sat nav but a hidden gem well worth finding!

Great boutique hotel. Lovely big room and bathroom. Breakfast was superb - fresh and huge choice. We arrived late so didnt get to have dinner but bar was open and staff friendly and attentive. Indeed all of the staff were super attentive and made us feel welcome. Hotel is a stone’s throw from Waterfront but bijou and quiet. Would definitely go back.

Great stay, but need clearer cancellation policy

Refund policy for changes in bookings. On booking.com the policy was free cancellation. The hotel asked for a prepayment to secure the reservation for the entire stay upon making the booking. I made a change to the reservation about two weeks before the stay, expecting an immediate refund for the nights cancelled, as is a practice elsewhere. The hotel refused to give me the refund until after the stay, and processed the refund a week after we checked out. We had to follow up about the refund process several times, and at some point they tried suggesting that the refund would be in a form of credits for future stay, which we immediately rejected. All of this needs to be made more clear prior to booking. Everything about the stay itself was great! It is priced at a higher end of the range.

The property was great, within walking distance from the Waterfront with shops and restaurants. Breakfast (combination of buffet and a la carte) was excellent, with good quality ingredients and friendly service.

Excellent breakfast selection and nice to eat on the terrace balcony. Really great to be a couple of hundred meters back from the busy and touristy waterfront in a peaceful and elegant spot. Beautiful lawn and quiet outdoor pool and garden to relax in. authentic venue avoiding feeling too corporate.

Given its proximity to the action, its quite noisy with the window open. Nothing to be done about it.

Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. Takes so long in the morning, have to wait to get even coffee. Coffee was not always even nice. Almost no gluten free options, besides seeded bread which is not a bread but compressed seeds which is impossible to eat.

Facilities, rooms and overall location at V&A waterfront is at the top level.

Our room looked into a parking area and was noisy. The room had a “mountain view” which was poetic licence. If I hung out a window and looked through trees I could see a bit of Table Mountain. Check in time is 2pm and I had to push to get a room by 2.20. We were given a room than was smaller than we paid for and refused to stay in it. The chap in reception could have dealt with me more appropriately. We. have stayed at this hotel at least ten times and there is no record of being previous guests and being welcomed back.

Great location. Clean, spacious and most of the staff are excellent.

Great alternative to the larger hotels in Johannesburg and highly recommend. I booked this for some very senior global executives who are used to staying in luxury hotels around the world and they absolutely loved staying here. The service, staff, rooms and location were perfect. They even said the next time they are in Johannesburg; forego the large hotel chains and they will happily come back here to stay.

Confusing as they have a sister hotel across the street, the Victoria and Albert. Some of the photos shown are off the sister hotel. You can use the sister facility for breakfast.

Well maintained beautiful quiet property. Breakfast was wonderful with buffet and the option to order from the menu. Room was fantastic, we stayed in the executive suite. Staff were helpful and attentive. We did a 2 day tour with Marvel tours, it was amazing.
