Property could use a bit of maintenance/repairs faulty door handles dripping taps missing light bulbs. Otherwise great.

I missed a plug converter in the room. All of the power sockets are using the 3 thick limbed plugs, which seem to be used in some regions of southern Africa. So using and loading of foreign electric devices could be a problem if you have not the right plug or adapter. The water taps in the house are a nostalgic feature in South Africa, but really impractical. There are always two water taps at the sink: One which provides only hot water and the other one who gives only cold water.

The Thaba Tsweni Lodge is a pretty hotel, which is on the road of the Blyde River Canyon, near the Berlin Falls, on a side street of the main road. The lodge was build by the host itself, an biological ecologist, which can provide guests with useful informations. Every house on the property has parking spots and the garden is very beautiful. There are also informations about tours and activities in that region. The rooms are built like historically old houses, the balcony with the view at the garden is nice. The houses are equipped with kitchens and necessary things. It is an ideal place to take a rest between Pretoria/Johannesburg and Krüger NP.

A friendly welcome by the host who gave us some information about the area and things to do. The chalet is quite spacious, had all that we needed, and cleaned daily. Great location as it's closest to most of the attractions, a walk away to Berlin Falls. We enjoyed our stay.

Wendel is a super nice host, giving a lot of tips and advice for your stay. The chalet is very nice, well equipped, with WiFi in the room. The bed is truly excellent. The place is quiet, the garden very well groomed, the birds charming, and well located in order to visit the places of interest around. Thank you Wendel for this pleasant stay !

The place is showing its age a bit. The interior could use a modern touch or a refresh to enhance the overall experience. Despite that, the place has a unique appeal, and with a bit of updating, it could be even more inviting.

This place is great for exploring, with cool waterfalls and nice views nearby. The rooms are really clean and tidy. It's also quiet around here, which is nice.

Spacious, well equipped self catering Accomodation. We had lovely view of a tree with weaver birds that kept us entertained. Close to Blyde River attractions. Very knowledgeable host.

1. My only serious worry was the main gate being left open during day and being unlocked at night, we couldn't rest well. I realize the gate was an electrical issue however a plan must be made. 2. The toilet seat in our unit was broken and needs replacing.

The facilities are very good, clean and well serviced. Staff all vey pleasant. I would recommend to all.

It was a nice and comfortable place. It is a super place for people who like to be far from everything. However, we are close to Graskop and we had good restaurants close and a convenient store. the place is situated really close from 2 beautiful point of view. the owner is really friendly.

it was somewhat dated, I had to ask for a new oven glove as the one supplied was full of holes. More comfortable seating in the lounge would have been a bonus as it got cold and we came in. But this does not detract from being very happy with our stay.

The location was very good for visiting the wonderful scenery in the area. our room had a lovely veranda with views, sunshine, braai, extremely peaceful and very well maintained by the staff. It was roomy, light, good cooker and huge fridge freezer facilities.

Thaba Tsweni was ideal spot, perfectly located for our 3 night stay to explore the sights of Blyde Canyon. Very comfortable chalet for self catering, neat and clean, serviced. Wifi worked. All good.

The check out time of 09H30, was terrible it really felt like we are being chased away very early in the morning. The standard is 11H00 in the industry so the owner should reconsider to align to industry standard

The rooms were really good, the location was beautiful, quite and serene. Very close to all the attractions. For us we went to to rest so the location was perfect
