Our place was only cleaned the first day, the office staff has a bit of a funny attitude, with uncomfortable sarcasm. There is no back up for load-shedding, only a flimsy torch that needs to be charged. We spent most of our time away from the lodge because we could do anything without electricity, which makes makes the place very expensive if your only going to sleep there and not use the facility to its fullest potential:( Our braai was cleaned the first day and never brought back. There was no covered parking offered, only after a big heal storm we were informed we could use the “private parking”

It is a beautiful place, and the suite we stayed in was comfortable with everything you can need. The breakfast staff and cleaning staff was super friendly and helpful

The property only does meals Monday to Thursday, it would have been great if we could have had breakfast and dinner there because we were in a room with no cooking facilities and the restaurants aren’t very close by.

it was very quiet and peaceful, exactly what we were looking for. We walked to the beautiful water fall and the resident Labrador was our guide.

The braai is tiny and no air holes at the bottom so it doesn’t burn properly.

Not that I didn’t like it, but there’s no feasible catering option available. You must notify the property 24-hour before breakfast should you wish to be catered for. if you need food you need to drive out to the city centre.

The overall serenity and view of the lodge is as beautiful in person as it is in pictures. Kate, the hostess with the mostest was such a joy and accommodating in every way.

The only thing that I wish for was the fire room area.

I would highly recommend the Hilton bush lodge, Lisa was such a great secretary, she welcomed us warmly, everything that we needed was was given to us, she was such a loving person throughout, the place is beautiful, the rooms were super clean. I will definitely come back.

Our stay was wonderful. The room was beautiful and our favorite thing was the stunning view from the balcony. They were so welcoming, making sure we had ice and that our every request was catered to.

Wish I had known that there was not wifi. We travelled for work so had had to hotspot from our phones wich is not ideal. Maybe make it more visible that there is no wifi in the rooms.

There was no heating system and the room hardly gets direct sunlight so i did become a bit cold indoors although the weather was warm

The view from the balcony is so peaceful, the air is clean and you can catch the sound of the waterfall during the silence mornings. The property was clean and comfortable, the rooms are sufficiently equipped and peaceful

This place met and exceeded all our expectations, we had to wait to check in for a bit but it was worth it.

The accommodation should really be rated 4 star, the attention to detail from having milk in the fridge, biscuits for your morning coffee, the softest blankets for the chilly weather and the most INCREDIBLE view from our luxury suite. Spacious, clean and off the beaten track. Best part was having our own outdoor firepit which from the online view we had thought was shared. We will be back!
