The inverter kept switching the lights on in the middle of the night. Waking up the guests. So what was a positive to negate Eskom became a negative. This was reported twice and we were told to switch the lights off at the box.

The property didn’t automatically provide generator backup for the times of load shedding (these happen multiple times a day).

The property was located within a gated community, which was guarded by security. Only guests with key cards can access the property. The restaurants and shops were very close, only a few minutes walk away.

The apartment should have an inverter to lessen the rampant loadshedding that is currently afflicting South Africa.

Nit picking a little here: we were advised during our check in that one of the access cards we were entitled to had to be replaced, and we were supposed to get a replacement sent to us on Day 2. But we never got our 2nd access card. Extremely small and minor issue which did not dampen our enjoyment of our stay.

Location was extremely convenient, and the surrounding environment was pleasant as well. Facilities was exactly as described, and service standards were top notch and responsive. The whole family felt safe and secure throughout our stay, and that made it a extremely memorable one for us all.

I stayed twice in Waterfront Village First apartment the bathrooms were old but cleaning was 10. Second time the apartment was superb but the cleaning wasn’t as good. I’d stay there again

The tumble dryer did not work at all. The extractor in the bathroom did not switch off with the light switch so it was noisy. Only a lamp for load shedding...

The patio outside only got cleaned once during our 3-day stay and there were leaves everywhere and tables full of dust, would be nice if someone cleaned it every morning. The kitchen window lock was broken and could not lock. We reported this to reception and the maintenance team came but it was not fixed during our stay. Felt unsafe to sleep like that with my 3 kids in the house. The one shower had very little water pressure, but the maintenance team came out quickly to fix it. The door to the patio struggled to open and I had to use my room door to go to patio because I could not get the door open when my husband was not there, again the maintenance team came out quickly to fix it. The first night we arrived back at 10pm and found our patio door half open, not sure if it was the cleaning / maintenance staff. Regarding TV, one bedroom was logged into Netflix, and when we enquired about the other 2 bedrooms, we were told we had to log into our own account to view Netflix. For the rate you pay to stay here I would expect at least to be able to watch some kind of tv channels.

The size of the apartment was perfect for a family of 5. The location was great with easy access to the V&A Waterfront as well as the high way (N1) for access to Airport and Southern Suburbs.

Load shedding was extreme, we could not boil water for Coffee in the morning, so needed to go out and buy coffee, in evening we came back and everything was dark. would have been nice to have an Invertor like some units had. it took over an hour to get our security cards, which was waisted time.

Apartments vary widely in facilities, especially provisions for load shedding (inverters) but also electronics, i.e., outdated TVs. Price is not appropriate for what is offered.

Location, accommodating staff. Excellent balcony view after switching apartments, which the staff facilitated very easily.
