Our room had a leak through the grass roof which created mould over time. We had to leave the door open all the time to get fresh air in and the musty smell out. It's sad that the bar across the border plays music on repeat that echoes through the valley, disturbing the peace that once was. Not many farm animals for the kids that we could see anymore, and the food was very mediocre at times.

We went to Wyndford as kids, so it was lovely being back. Everything has stayed the same. Beautiful gardens and hiking routes. The staff do everything they can to accomodate their guests.

Everything was good!

Great facilities, including swimming pool, tennis court, golf court, ping pong, and many more. The price includes 3 good meals and coffee and tea during the day. Furthermore, some activities are offered by the accommodation such as hiking tours. The staff is very kind, friendly and very attentive. The rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. Wifi is also quite good. I saw some comments about old furniture - indeed, some furniture is not new but is is very well maintained so it did not bother us. Plus, extending the life of furniture is very eco-friendly, which we also very much value. Overall, great experience and highly recommended!

Just a little close to the border (noise) but once we knew that the border closed at 10pm it was fine. Our cottage was very close to the generator and the border noise, so we would probably opt for another cottage higher up. And a Kettle would have been great in the room. Bed was okay, I had to layer it with another duvet to get it comfortable. Small points.

Set menu wasn't very child friendly and was quite heavy -lots of cheese sauces and not enough fruit and vegetables.

We had the weekend from HELL! 1 Vehicle broke down, then the vehicle sent to recover it, also broke during the recovery process! The Crew were phenomenal - we came in just after 22:00 with a limping vehicle, and they were waiting up for us, with dinner prepared and waiting in our prepared rooms! On Sunday morning they took us on a relaxing walk while we waited for another vehicle to collect us and the limping vehicle. We will definitely move all our cross-border stays to them for the foreseeable future!

Meals below par but pastries were excellent. Beds could use an upgrade. Furnishings a bit dated - feels a bit 60s-ish.

Great location, super, attentive staff. Great twice a day walks and coffee/teas. Like the communal spirit of the lodge. Lovely Free State hospitality experience - felt really welcomed. It's a great family location.

Stove in our room made a lot of smoke and didn't work well. However the room had room heating facility so it was good warm to sleep.

The hotel is located in the mountain. We enjoyed great view from the hotel. My kids enjoyed playing with dogs (very smart !). Staff is also very friendly and kindly. Dinner and Breakfast were also very good.

We were there in fall (May) and it can get chilly in the room at night (but there's extra blankets and some electrical floor heating).

Super friendly and helpful staff. They will make very sure you'll have a good time! There's plenty of food all day long and several tea times (I kid you not, there's hardly any three hours without something to eat or drink). They offer complementary guided walks in the area. Lots of activities on site. Probably great with kids as there's so much to do and explore. Very secluded and quiet. Good meals that also come with veggies or salad.
