2) We loved the Villa, it was perfect from the fire place to the Spotify playlist and not to mention the open air Onsen. We really liked the wooden cabin feeling and privacy from other guests.

Incredible view from the room. Traditional, tight house. 貸切/reserve + open hotspring in the basement. Bathing is a must. Shower cabins, baths, many toilets. Clean, relatively well kept rooms. Even though the triple room was small, there was still a nice spacious feel due to it being on tatami with futon that are folded at daytime. + There is a big closet/cabinet behind a sliding door to store luggage. AC for the cold/heat.
We had such a fantastic experience during our stay at Ajisai and loved walking around in the supplied Yukatas! We really enjoyed the private onsen which we definitely made use of with our family, and the futon bed was extremely comfortable. Just note that it is a fair walk (especially if you have luggage), so best to take a taxi from Gora Station to get to the Ryokan.
Location doesn’t get better than this - right outside Gora station and a perfect base to start the Hakone loop. Although not a traditional ryokan, it has an onsen bath which is foreigner friendly - tattoos are accepted and instructions are provided, the frontdesk staff Mio even explained this to us during our check-in! Oh and the dinner set was also really enjoyable.
I've appreciated the traditional style of the place; I wanted to experience staying one night in a ryokan. The futon, the tatami and the typical furniture of the room, everything was there. The onsen was also pleasant. My best memory is the kindness of the secund man who helped me whenever needed, the efforts he made to communicate with me to provide me with all information.
Great Ryokan-style accommodation. We loved the private onsen
Very good value for money. You get a simple but essential ryokan experience. A traditional room, a yukata, and an onsen bath.
Beautifully presented ryokan style room with stunning private outdoor onsen that overlooks cedar trees, perfect for couples who want to share onsen together in the comfort of their own space. The Japanese style breakfast was absolutely delicious and prepared/presented with care. Chose a beautiful yukata upon entry and the staff were all very hospitable. Thank you for such a beautiful experience will definitely be back!
lovely traditional rooms with tatami beds and private onsen, overlooking the tranquil river which provides the hot spring water. the kaiseki dinner and breakfast was a delightful spread, though don't expect to be blown away by every dish.
This hotel gives a true Honsen experience (even though high-end) in Hakone. The rooms are very nice with traditional tatamis and futon beds. The Hotel facilities are excellent and the breakfast is delicious and traditional. The best is the sunrise both from the room or one of the Honsens!!!
1. Cosy, clean Ryokan that feels like entering a traditional Japanese home 2. Private onsen/ bath arrangement with clean, vanity room attached. beautiful yukata (bathrobe) was provided too. 3. Clean, cosy and spacious room with a fair amount of appliances (hairdryer, humidifier, kettle, mini-fridge), some nice omiyagae treats 4. The mini garden (greenery view) in front of the ryokan's entrance
