Great if you need a good night of sleep We had nice days relaxing at the pool, as well as using Villa Karingal as an outpost for exploring Singgigi and the rest of Lombok. Gill is a great host, with profound knowledge of the island (and many other places around the globe) and always willing to help out Nur & co (staff) are great cooks and at our service at any time. “The staff were absolutely fantastic. Semeton means 'family' and this really came through in the staff"s relationship with guests and each other. We were able to check in massively early with no extra charge or problems. The owner greeted us with smiles and jokes and hot and cold drinks. It was probably the friendliest place we have stayed during our trip in Malaysia and Indonisia. The grounds are kept immaculately clean and its so peaceful. We booked for 2 nights but I ended up not feeling very well and so we stayed a further 2 nights so that I could rest. The staff were concerned and attentive and gave my partner a lift to go and buy some fruit. The homestay is a little way out from senggigi beach, but there is a taxi rank at the bottom of the road and it only cost about 20,000 and took 10-15 minutes to get there. This might be a problem for some people, but we liked the peaceful location. You can access a beach in within 5 mins walk, and there is an abundance of restaurants and small shops near by. I would absolutely stay here again if we came back this way.”
